a) Base station: Insert batteries, carrying out basic settings
Please proceed in the following sequence:
GB
To make opening the battery compartment easier, the base stand can be taken off. Do not
simply pull it out directly toward the bottom (don't excert any force, don't bend it, simply
slide it out toward the bottom!).
Now insert 3 batteries type mignon/AA into the battery compartment on the back of the
base station. Pay attention to correct polarity (observe plus/+ and minus/-, see imprint in
battery compartment and on batteries).
As already described in chapter 6, you can also use rechargeable batteries.
Close the battery compartment and put the base stand back on.
All display elements will appear briefly and a tone signal can be heard.
"24h" will flash on the display.
If you don't carry out any settings within about 10 seconds, "0:00" will appear on
the display. The setting process can be reactivating by pressing the "MODE/RAIN
SETTING" (A) button for a longer period of time (flashing "24h" will reappear).
With the "2SINCE" (B) and/or "8HISTORY" (C) button you set the time display mode (12 or
24 hour mode).
Confirm the setting by briefly pressing the "MODE/RAIN SETTING" (A) button.
"TIME" appears on the display and the hours start to flash. They can be set with the
"2SINCE" (B) and/or "8HISTORY" (C) buttons.
Hold the respective button down for a longer period of time, to activate the fast adjust-
ment.
If the clock is to be operated in the 12 hour mode, "AM" for morning and "PM" for afternoon
will appear.
Confirm the setting by briefly pressing the "MODE/RAIN SETTING" (A) button.
Now the minutes start to flash. Set them as described above for the setting of the hours.
Confirm the setting by briefly pressing the "MODE/RAIN SETTING" (A) button.
"YEAR" will appear on the display, the year to be set starts to flash.
As already described, the adjustment is carried out with the "2SINCE" (B) and/or
"8HISTORY" (C) button and the confirmation of the setting by briefly pressing the "MODE/
RAIN SETTING" (A) button.
Now the date is displayed (when you use it for the first time: 1.1.). Next to the numbers "D" or
"M" will flash. Here, the sequence of day and month can be swapped.
D = day
M = month
