7.2.1 0° stop (Fig. 4/5)
Move the handwheel (8) to the left until the
arrow (17) points to 0°.
Half tighten the locking handle (9).
Place the angle (a) between the saw table (1)
and the saw blade (4).
If the angle is not exactly 90° you can use a
hexagon socket-head key (b) to adjust the stop
screw (18) until the angle is exactly 90°.
It may be necessary to slacken the locking
handle (9) again in order to swivel the saw blade
a little further to the left.
7.2.2 45° stop (Fig. 4/6)
Move the handwheel (8) to the right until the
arrow (17) points to 45°.
Half tighten the locking handle (9).
Place the angle (C) between the saw table (1)
and the saw blade (4).
If the angle is not exactly 45° you can adjust it
with the stop screw (19) (similar to the procedure
described in 7.2.1).
Important! Be sure to secure the selected angle
setting by tightening the locking handle (9)
before you start to saw.
7.3 Adjusting the splitter (Fig. 3/7)
Caution! Pull out the power plug.
Set the saw blade (4) to maximum cutting depth,
move it to 0° position and lock it in place.
Remove the saw blade guard (see 7.1).
Take out the table insert (6) (see 7.4).
Slacken the two hexagon socket-head screws
(20).
7.3.1 Setting for maximum cuts (Fig. 7/8)
Raise the splitter (5) until the distance between
the saw table (1) and the top edge of the splitter
(5) is approx. 10 cm.
The distance between the saw blade (4) and the
splitter (5) has to be 3-5 mm.
Re-tighten the two hexagon socket-head screws
(20) and fit the table insert (6).
7.3.2 Setting for covered cuts (Fig. 7/8)
Lower the splitter (5) until the tip of the splitter is
2 mm below the tip of the top saw tooth.
The distance between the splitter (5) and the
saw blade (4) has to be 3-5 mm (see Fig. 8).
Re-tighten the two hexagon socket head screws
Seite 18
If you leave the splitter in bottom position, please
note that the cutting height is reduced to approx.
65 mm.
The setting of the splitter has to be checked
each time after changing the saw blade.
7.4 Replacing the table insert (Fig. 7a)
If the table insert is worn or damaged table it has
to be replaced or there will be a higher risk of
accident.
Take off the saw blade guard (2).
Remove the 6 countersunk head screws (34).
Lift the worn table insert (6) up and out.
Fit a new table insert in reverse order.
7.5 Replacing the saw blade (Fig. 9)
Caution! Pull out the power plug.
Set the saw blade (4) to maximum cutting depth.
Take off the saw blade guard (2) (see 7.1).
Take out the table insert (6) (see 7.4).
Remove the splitter (5) (see 7.3).
Use the face spanner (29) to block the outer
flange (28) and use the open-ended spanner
(30) to undo the hexagon screw by turning in the
blade running direction (N.B.: left-hand thread).
Set the saw blade (4) to minimal cutting depth so
that it is easier to take out.
Remove the saw blade (4) from the inner flange
and lift it out.
Carefully clean the saw blade flange before you
fit the new saw blade.
Insert and secure the new saw blade in reverse
order.
Caution! Note the running direction. The cutting
edge of the teeth has to point in running
direction, i.e. forward (see the arrow on the saw
blade guard).
Re-fit and re-set the splitter (5) and the saw
blade guard (2) (see 7.3 and 7.1).
Before you use the saw again, check that the
safety devices are in good working order.
8.0 Using the saw
