„The quoted values are emission values and not
necessarily reliable workplace values. Although there
is a correlation between emission and immission
levels it is impossible to draw any certain conclusions
as to the need for additional precautions. Factors
with a potential influence on the actual immision level
at the workplace include the duration of impact, the
type of room, and other sources of noise etc., e.g.
the number of machines and other neighbouring
operations. Reliable workplace values may also vary
from country to country. With this information the
user should at least be able to make a better
assessment of the dangers and risks involved."

Intermittent periodic duty (S3) means that cooling
intervals (OFF periods) are necessary during
operation. The OFF period has to be long enough to
prevent the machine from overheating but does not
require the motor to cool to room temperature.
The ON period and the OFF period together add up
to the cycle duty time. According to the standard the
cycle duty time equals 10 minutes, i.e. a load factor
of S3 50% corresponds to an ON period of 5 minutes
and an OFF period of 5 minutes.

6. Before putting the machine into
operation
Unpack the bench-type circular saw and check
for any damage in transit.
All the covers and safety devices have to be
properly fitted before the machine is switched
on.
It must be possible for the saw blade to run
freely.
When working with wood that has been
processed before, watch out for foreign bodies
such as nails or screws etc.
Before you actuate the On/Off switch, make sure
that the saw blade is correctly fitted and that the
machine's moving parts run smoothly.
Before you connect the machine to the power
supply, make sure the data on the rating plate is
the same as that for your mains.
7. Assembly
Caution! Always pull out the power plug before
carrying out any maintenance, conversion or
assembly work on the circular saw.
7.1 Fitting / removing the saw blade
guard (Fig. 3)

wing nut (15).
Place the saw blade guard (2) on the splitter (5)
so that the screw (21) fits in the slot (a) of the
36
splitter.
lide the saw blade guard (2) forward and
tighten the wing nut (15).
Fasten the vacuum extraction pipe (13) to the
vacuum extraction adapter (16) at the back of
the machine and to the vacuum extraction
socket of the saw blade guard (2).
A suitable vacuum extraction system has to be
ø 36 mm
connected to the outlet (b) of the vacuum
extraction adapter (16) (Fig. 2).
To remove the saw blade guard, proceed in
reverse order.
Caution!
The saw blade guard (2) has to be lowered onto
the workpiece before you begin to saw.
7.2 Adjusting the stop for the cutting
angle (Fig. 4)
Caution! Pull out the power plug.
