Solution
Are the power supply units switched on?
Is the VGA-TV converter switched on?
Is the same channel set on both VGA-TV converter and AV receiver? Check the
DIP switches 1, 2, 3 and 4; only one of the 4 switches can be in the "ON" position;
namely the same one must be set to "ON" on both appliances respectively.
To check, select a different channel.
Which position has the DIP switch "6" on the VGA-TV converter? This switch is
used to switch between RGB and Video-/S-Video mode.
Is the VGA-Y cable connected correctly (check marking on the plugs)?
Has the correct TV norm been selected (PAL/NTSC)?
Is the distance between VGA TV converter and AV receiver too big ?
Has the correct AV input been selected on the TV set ?
In RGB mode: Can the AV device process RGB signals at all?
Video recorders have a Scart socket, however, very few video recorders can
record LGB signals!
The same applies to many inexpensive TV sets which cannot reproduce RGB
signals.
If the TV set has several Scart sockets, consult the operating manual of the TV set
to know which of the sockets is suitable for the reproduction of an RGB signal.
To check, use other inputs of your TV set, for example, video input (cinch socket)
instead of RGB-SCART input.
Are the connecting cables correctly connected?
Do not use all three outputs of the VGA-TV converter simultaneously, as they can
interfere with each other.
Change to a different channel.
Change the location of installation of the AV receiver and the VGA-TV converter.
Try, via the "FINE TUNE" key to achieve an improvement.
With notebooks, often the VGA output must be activated first (e.g. via a shortcut
or via the setting of the display characteristics in the operating system or BIOS/
SETUP).
Connect the audio source (e.g. audio output of the computer) to the connection
"AUDIO-IN" of the VGA-TV converter. At the AV receiver, the audio signal is
available at the cinch sockets "AUDIO L" and "AUDIO R".
Are the connecting cables correctly connected?
Has the correct port of computer and AV appliance been activated/selected?
