applies only to the actual size and material of the pipe and the wheel may need readjusting as the
disc becomes worn. To adjust the wheel, loosen the clamp screw (Figure l1) and turn the centre of
the wheel clockwise (Figure l2) to the required position. Then secure the wheel again (Figure l3).
If the disc has moved too far to the right, adjust the centre of the wheel clockwise (- sign). If the
deviation is to the left, adjust the wheel anticlockwise (+ sign). The degree of adjustment depends
on the scale of the alignment error. Remember to lubricate the adjustment wheel every so often.

Fitting and changing the disc

Warning! To reduce the risk of injury, switch off the unit and disconnect it from
!
the power supply before installing or removing accessories and before making
adjustments or repairs. Starting it up accidentally can cause injury.
Unplug the machine and check that the motor is locked in the upper position.
Remove the disc guard (Figure J/1) by loosening the Allen screw (Figure J/7). Press the shaft
locking button (Figure A/10) and, simultaneously, turn the disc with your hand until the shaft
locking button descends another 7 mm approximately. Now, the disc will not be able to turn.
Loosen the clamp screw of the disc with the spanner (Figure J/2). Remove the clamp screw, the
washer (Figure J/3), the circular flange of the disc (Figure J/4), and the disc (Figure J/5).
Before fitting a new cutting disc, check that both flanges (Figure J/4 and J/6) of the disc are clean.
Fit a new or sharpened disc on the rear circular flange (Figure J/5) so that the marked side of disc
faces out and the arrows on the disc point in the same direction as the rotational direction marks
inside the disc housing. Ensure the new disc fits right up to the rear flange. Replace the circular
flange of the disc (Figure J/4), the washer (Figure J/3), and the clamp screw (Figure J/2). Press
the shaft locking button and tighten the clamp screw of the disc. Ensure the saw rotates freely and is
properly secured. Replace the disc guard cover (Figure J/1) and tighten the Allen screw (Figure J/7).
When using the pipe saw, you must always take into account the following factors:
• Secure the pipes to minimise the risk of the disc getting trapped.
• Ensure the tube you are going to cut is empty.
• Ensure the disc is properly positioned.
• Ensure the diameter and the thickness of the disc are suitable for the pipe saw and that the
disc is suitable for the rpm range of the machine.
• Do not, under any circumstances, apply lateral force to stop the disc. Let the disc stop freely.
• Verify the accessories of the disc guards.
• Do not apply too much force when using the pipe saw.
• Do not use the pipe saw to lifting the tube while is connected to the tube.
• Avoid overloading the electric motor.
• Always follow the operation and safety instructions and the current standards.

Changing the base

Take the motor to the lower position and hold the machine all the way down (Figure K/1). Lock
the motor recovery spring by bringing the locking handle of the spring forward (Figure K/2) and
turning it clockwise (Figure K/3). Move the UNLOCK button forward (Figure K/4) and lift the motor
(Figure K/5).
Ensure the spring is not applying any force to the machine. If it is, repeat the operation again from
the start.
Loosen the screw (Figure L/1) that joins the cover (Figure L/2) to the motor housing (Figure L/5).
Now you can access the nuts that secure the rod of the motor assembly to the base, release the
nuts (Figure L/3) and remove the washer also (Figure L/4). Pull laterally on motor unit with its
handle to separate the base from the motor. To fit the motor onto the base again, follow the same
sequence in reverse order.
