6. Operation

Important! Before using the equipment for the fi rst
time, check that the voltage supply is the same
as the voltage details set out on the rating plate.
Read the safety regulations in section 1.
When the equipment is used for the fi rst time or
after a long period of rest, it may emit an odor
for a short time. This is not a fault. If black spots
appear on the heating elements during the fi rst
minutes of operation, this will aff ect neither the
quality nor performance of the heater.
6.1 Switching on the equipment (Fig. 9):
Note: If button D (Timer) is not pressed, the
equipment automatically switches to "Standby"
after 12 hours. The "Timer" can only be activated
if a heat output setting is switched on. If a button
is actuated, the corresponding button symbol will
shine.
The main switch A at the side switches the
mains voltage to the equipment on and off. If
the equipment is supplied with mains voltage
(Standby), button B will flash slowly in a rising
and fading pattern.
Press the On/Standby button B. The heater
will switch on (without heat output) or, if
pressed again, will switch to "Standby".
Once the heater is on, press the heat output
button C once. This activates the low heat
output setting. Pressing button C twice will
activate the high heat output setting. If you
press button C again, this switches off the
heat output.
If you press the "Timer" button D, this restricts
the ON time to 2 hours. If you press this but-
ton again, this deactivates the timer.
Note: All the functions can also be operated with
the remote control after the main switch has been
switched on. Point the remote control at the inf-
rared receiver (E). The remote control runs on 2
batteries type „AAA". Make sure that the poles are
not reversed when you change the batteries.
6.2 Heater head tilt (Fig. 10)
Caution - danger of burns! Adjust the heater head
only when it has cooled down.
After undoing the screw (F) you can tilt the
heater upwards or downwards by up to 30°
from the horizontal position. Then tighten the

8. Cleaning, maintenance and

Danger!
Always pull out the mains power plug before st-
arting any cleaning work. Before carrying out any
cleaning and maintenance work the equipment
must be turned off , disconnected from the power
supply and cooled down.
8.1 Cleaning
