Swash plate setting
The helicopter is equipped with a CCPM swash plate. With helicopters featuring a CCPM swash plate, the commands
for the pitch and roll servos are are mixed. The 3 servos can be adjusted separately. The remote control transmitter
can also address a swash disk for which the pitch function is only performed by one servo (1-S).
Prior to the first flight, all servos must be set equally. Afterwards you can slightly correct them if necessary.
Failsafe
Attention! Danger of damage to persons and objects!
When operating helicopters, we strongly advise against programming any defined values for the failsafe
program and instead recommend the "Hold mode".
In case of radio interference, all functions/servos would then enter the position you have programmed and
then put the helicopter in a dangerous flight situation which may lead to a crash.
Radio interferences may occur with any radio transmission, regardless of walkie-talkie, mobile phone or model flight.
In case of interference, the signals issued by the remote control transmitter may be messed up or not be received,
which may lead to undesired or missing reactions of the remote control receiver.
The failsafe function only works with the receiver installed in the helicopter and only with PCM modulation. You can
select a default setting for each channel (CH 1-6). The remote control used for your helicopter features the following
functions for such errors:
First option:
You use the failsafe function in "hold mode" (recommended). In this mode, all functions in the receiver are "frozen" in
case of radio interference. As soon as the radio connection is established again without any interference, all functions
perform as usual. Hold mode is set if the arrow is set to "NOR" on all channels (CH 1-6).
Second option:
You use the failsafe function with "defined values". In this mode, all functions in the receiver are set to the position you
have programmed in case of radio interference. As soon as the radio connection is established again without any
interference, all functions perform as usual. This mode is set if the arrow is set to "F/S" for one, several, or all channels
(CH 1-6).
Change of crystal
To avoid interferences with other models or remote controls, you can change the quartz and then transmit/receive on
a different channel within the frequency range. There is an opening on the back of the remote control (ill. 2, pos. 4) into
which the desired transmitter quartz is inserted.
Please note:
• Both quartzes have to operate on the 40 MHz band
• Both quartzes must be suited for FM systems (FM = frequency modulation).
• The remote control and the model must have quartzes installed for the same channel and/or frequency (label e.g.
"40.675" means: working frequency is 40.675 MHz).
• A transmitter quartz must be inserted into the remote control transmitter (label "T" or "TX" means "transmitter").
• A receiver quartz must be inserted in the model (label "R" or "RX" means "receiver").
