Before installing the detector, check the undisturbed reception
at different times of the day, e.g. by means of cigarette smoke.
The range might be reduced for the following reasons:
• radio-frequency interference of all kinds.
• buildings of all kind and vegetation.
• The distance of the transmitter or receiver to conductive surfaces
or objects (as well as to the human body or to the ground) influ-
ences the radiation characteristics and thus the range.
• Broad-band interference within cities might reach a certain level
which reduce the signal-to-noise ratio of the whole frequency
band. This also reduces the range.
• Devices with similar operating frequencies might influence the
receiver.
• Poorly shielded PCs might interfere the receiver and thus reduce
the range.

Problems with Reception and Troubleshooting

Interference by other radio systems

• In case of interference by other radio systems, you can set ano-
ther house code on the circuit board of the detector. This code
has to be the same for all detectors of the system.
• For this purpose, remove the detector from its bottom part, remo-
ve the batteries and rip up one to four of the coding bridges mar-
ked with JP1-JP4 (see figure) e.g. by means of a knife.
• Rip up the same coding bridges in all detectors of the system.
• After finishing this work, insert the batteries and check the whole
system for proper operation.

Utilisation prévue
Ce détecteur de fumée à transmission sans fil reconnaît la présence
de fumée à l'intérieur de pièces, émet un signal optique/acoustique
d'alarme et transmet un message d'alarme, au moyen d'ondes
radio, sur une distance maximale de 100 m (portée sur champ libre).
Combiné avec d'autres détecteurs du même type, il peut être utilisé
comme système d'alarme à transmission sans fil.
Tenez compte des instructions concernant le montage afin de
garantir un fonctionnement correct du détecteur.
Le produit ne doit en aucun cas être modifié. En cas de dommages
résultant de la non observation de ce mode d'emploi, la validité de
la garantie donnée par le fabricant est annulée, nous déclinons tou-
te responsabilité pour d'éventuels dommages consécutifs.
Précautions d'emploi et d'entretien
N'ouvrez pas le détecteur de fumée, il ne contient aucun élément
nécessitant un entretien de votre part.
• N'utilisez l'appareil qu'en intérieur et évitez l'humidité, la poussiè-
re et le rayonnement direct du soleil.
• Nettoyez l'appareil avec un chiffon de toile sec. En cas de salis-
sures plus importantes, vous pouvez humidifier ce chiffon. N'utili-
sez en aucun cas un détergent agressif.
• Maintenez le système hors de la portée des enfants, ce n'est pas
un jouet !
