If the throttle/brake lever is pushed from forwards to reverse without a pause, the drive mechanism's brake function
is activated (vehicle will not reverse).
In the event of an immediate switch from forwards to reverse, the throttle/brake lever must first be pushed away from
the handle and then moved to the neutral position (if the vehicle moves forwards during this phase, braking is also
activated as a result). If the throttle/brake lever is pushed away from the handle a second time, the vehicle drives in
reverse.
After forwards driving, the vehicle only drives in reverse if the throttle/brake lever is pushed away from the
handle a second time. This is required by the brake function; in addition, it protects the drive mechanism
from overload due to an immediate switch from forwards to reverse.
If the drive battery is depleted, wait at least 5 - 10 minutes until the motor and electronic system have cooled sufficient-
ly. Then, start driving again with a fully charged drive battery. Charge a depleted drive battery only when it has cooled.
Stop driving straight away if you notice unusual responses from the vehicle to the control commands on the
transmitter or if the vehicle no longer responds. This behaviour could be caused by a weak drive battery,
weak batteries in the transmitter or by the distance between the vehicle and transmitter being too large. In
the event that the batteries in the transmitter are weak (below a voltage of approx. 4.6 V), the function LED
(4) starts to flash slowly.
A damaged receiver antenna, disturbances on the radio channel used (e.g. other models, radio transmis-
sions from other devices, Bluetooth
cause of the unusual vehicle responses.
As the power supply to the receiver comes via the receiver/control unit and the drive battery, a weak or
depleted drive battery could lead to unwanted vehicle movements (e.g. jerking of the steering servo, etc.).
For example, the voltage at the drive battery drops momentarily at full throttle and so the receiver no longer
receives the required operating voltage. The vehicle will accelerate, but the steering servo will not respond
correctly. Stop operating the vehicle immediately and use a new, fully charged drive battery.

f) Stopping driving

To stop driving, proceed as follows:
• Release the throttle/brake lever on the transmitter so that it is in the centre (neutral) position and let the vehicle
roll to a halt.
• Once the vehicle is stationary, switch the vehicle off.
Ensure not to touch the wheels or the drive mechanism, and do not move, under any circumstances, the
throttle/brake lever on the transmitter!
• Then switch the transmitter off.
• Disconnect the drive battery from the vehicle.
Attention!
The motor, electronic system and drive battery become very hot during operation! Do not touch these parts
immediately after operation. Risk of burns!
