Now, adjust the sound to the acoustics
of the loudspeakers by means of the
equalizer control (2). The respective fre-
quency is not influenced when the con-
trol is set in the central position. You
know that the control is positioned in the
centre when you hear a clicking. Switch
the control up to reproduce the respec-
tive frequency louder and move it down
to lower the respective frequency.
Now, set the maximum required volume
with the LEVEL control (1).
When you are finished with these set-
tings, the volume will only be controlled
via the volume control of your audio
source.
To switch on the system, activate the
monitor amplifier first with the mains
switch POWER (6) and then switch on
the audio sources.

Since the human hearing is less sensiti-
ve in the lower and upper frequencies
than it is in medium frequencies, you
should not carry out extreme settings
with the respective equalizer controls (2),
since these settings might cause an
overloading of the loudspeakers. This
will be indicated by distortions occurring
during operation. These distortions can
very easily damage the loudspeakers.
Furthermore, you should leave tone con-
trols which might be part of e. g. your
mixer console in the central position,
due to the very same reasons.
This setting achieves a S/N ratio and
facilitates the best audio quality. Keep in
mind that the maximum volume
depends on the capacity of the louds-
peaker and on the capacity of the ampli-
fier. Too high volumes can damage the
loudspeaker and the amplifier. You will
know that you have overloaded the devi-
ces when you hear a low distortion. For
this setting, pay attention to
PEAK/COMPRESS LED (3). This LED
should only shine when the volume rea-
ches peaks.
This setting procedure has to be repea-
ted after each rewiring.
Observe this sequence, otherwise
crackling noises might occur which
might easily damage the loudspeaker
