i) Temperature limit for alarm (oven)
If not done already, select the oven mode with the button "MODE" (3). The oven tem-
perature must show up in the upper line ("OVEN" on the display).
Set Limit
With the "HR/OVEN °T" (5) button, the temperature limit (13) can be set for the sensor
at the upper end (19) of the temperature sensor (which is outside of the foodstuff).
For a quick adjustment, keep the corresponding button pressed for a longer time.
Adjustable Temperature of +30....+300 °C (+86....+572 °F).
Turning the alarm on/off
Briefly press the button "ON/OFF" (11) to turn on or turn off the alarm. When the alarm
is enabled, "
" is displayed.
Stopping alarm signal
When the alarm is enabled, the barbecue/kitchen thermometer emits 1 beep per sec-
ond when the limit is exceeded. The symbol "

Maintenance and cleaning
The product does not require any maintenance apart from occasional replacement of
the battery, and should never be disassembled for any reason.
Clean the product carefully, e.g., with a soft, clean cloth. Do not press too hard on the
display; this can lead not only to scratches but also to the destruction of the display.
For cleaning of the measurement tip, a soft cloth, moistened with water can be used.
Do not use the barbecue/kitchen thermometer in or under water. Never
clean the barbecue/kitchen thermometer in a dish washer.
This will destroy the product and void the warranty!
Never use aggressive cleaning agents or chemicals for cleaning; these can lead not
only to discolouration, but can also damage the product.
Disposal
a) General
The product must not be disposed of in the household waste!
Dispose of the waste product in accordance with the applicable legal regu-
lations.
Remove any inserted battery (or rechargeable battery) from the product and
dispose of it separately from the product.
b) Batteries and rechargeable batteries
As the end user are required by law (Battery Ordinance) to return all used batteries /
rechargeable batteries; disposing of them in the household waste is prohibited.
Contaminated (rechargeable) batteries are labelled with this symbol to indi-
cate that disposal in the domestic waste is forbidden. The designations for
the heavy metals involved are: Cd = Cadmium, Hg = Mercury, Pb = Lead.
Used batteries, rechargeable batteries and coin cells can be returned to collection
points in your municipality, our stores or wherever batteries/rechargeable batteries/
coin cells are sold.
You thus fulfil your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the envi-
ronment.
