Index / function
Description
WBGT
"Wet Bulb Globe Temperature" is a common value for
measuring the heat stress that affects human beings. This
measurement usually also takes wind and solar radiation
into account. As for this product, the calculation is slightly
simplified and based on temperature and humidity only.
Humidex
Humidex is a value especially common in Canada, indicating
what temperature the average person perceives at a current
temperature and humidity. If the display shows a value of
35, then this equals a perceived temperature of 35°C. The
Humidex resembles certain similarities to the heat index.
Heat Index
The heat index is a temperature value indicating the perceived
temperature based on measured temperature and relative
humidity.
Mold Index
The mold index, if at an increased level (orange, red), is a
warning indicating that prevailing temperature and humidity
might promote mold growth, especially inside buildings.
Flu Index
The flu index indicates whether airborne transmission of
influenza virus is likely (red) or less likely (yellow) to occur at
the prevailing temperature and humidity.
Fahrenheit / Celsius
Select whether to display the temperature in °C (degree
Celsius) or °F (degree Fahrenheit).
Recorded MAX / MIN
Touch the red "CLEAR" button in order to delete all saved
max/min values. A window will open prompting you to confirm
this function. Touch the green "Yes" button to permanently
delete all values. Or cancel the procedure by touching the red
"Cancel" button.
Next to the indices there are symbols or warning triangles displayed in different
colors.
Green indicates a comfortable situation, except for the WBGT index. In latter
case, the green warning triangle indicates that caution must be exercised.
Red indicates a situation that stipulates a high risk and requires immediate
measures to be taken.
f) Assembly and installation
• The product can be installed at a suitable location using the stand (6). The installation
surface must be horizontal, stable, flat and of adequate size.
• There are two holes on the back of the stand for mounting the product to a wall.
Do not install the product near radiators or similar.
Avoid direct sunlight and drafts (e.g. near windows or doors).
g) Replacing the batteries
• The display will show a warning before the batteries are completely empty.
• If the batteries are already fully discharged, there will also be a warning displayed and the
user interface appears semitransparent.
• In both cases, replace the batteries as described above and reconnect the product to
your smartphone/tablet.
h) Bluetooth
disconnected
®
• If Bluetooth
gets disconnected for 3 minutes, the user interface appears semitransparent
®
and a warning pops up.
• Check the Bluetooth
function of your smartphone/tablet.
