b) Selecting the temperature units °C/°F
Briefly press the "C/F" button (6) in order to change between the temperature unit °C
(degrees Celsius) and °F (degrees Fahrenheit).
c) Month/date display
Briefly press the "UP" button (1) to display the month and date.
d) Maximum/minimum values
Displaying the values
The weather station saves the extreme values for temperature and air humidity. Briefly
press the "MEM" button (4) several times, to toggle between the following displays:
• Maximum values ("MAX" appears at the right of the display)
• Minimum values ("MIN" appears at the right of the display)
• Current measured values
The display of the maximum or minimum values automatically changes
back to the display of the current readings after 10 seconds if no button is
pressed.
Resetting/deleting values
If "MAX" or "MIN" is shown at the right of the display, you can delete/reset these
values by holding the "MEM" button (4) pressed for about 3 seconds.
e) Alarm function
Displaying the alarm time
Briefly press the "MODE" button (2) several times, to toggle between the following
displays:
• Alarm time (the colon between hours/minutes does not blink)
• Time (the colon between hours/minutes blinks)
Setting the alarm time
• Briefly press the "MODE" (2) button so the alarm time is displayed (the colon be-
tween the hours and minutes does not blink).
• Keep the "MODE" button (2) impressed for about 2 seconds until minutes of the
alarm time blink in the display.
• Use the "UP" button (1) to set the minutes of the alarm time. For quick adjustment,
hold the button down for a longer period of time.
• Briefly press the "MODE" button (2) and the hours of the alarm time will start to
blink; set them using the "UP" button (1). For quick adjustment, press and hold down
the corresponding button for a little longer.
• Briefly press the "MODE" button (2) to exit the setting mode.
Switching the alarm function on/off, switching the hour signal on/off
• Briefly press the "MODE" (2) button so the alarm time is displayed (the colon be-
tween the hours and minutes does not blink).
• Briefly press the "UP" (1) button several times to switch the alarm function and the
hour signal on or off.

If the hour signal is switched on, the device will play a beep at each full hour.
Activating the snooze function and exiting the alarm
• At the set alarm time an alarm signal will be emitted.
• When the "SNOOZE • LIGHT" button (3) is pressed, the alarm signal will be halted
for 8 minutes. Afterwards, the alarm signal will restart.
This process may be repeated several times in a row.
• In order to end the alarm signal (or the snooze mode) press any other button (not the
"SNOOZE • LIGHT" button).
The alarm signal is terminated automatically after 1 minute if no button is
pressed.
f) Background light
Briefly press the "SNOOZE • LIGHT" button (3) to activate the background light. The
background light switches off automatically after a few seconds in order to save en-
ergy.
g) Reset
In case of a failure in the display (e.g. after inserting the battery or replacing the bat-
tery), briefly press the counter-sunk "RESET" button (5) using e.g. a toothpick. All set-
tings are lost after a reset.
Replacing the batteries
The battery needs changing when the display contrast is reduced considerably.
For charging proceed as described above in "Getting started".
All settings are lost when replacing the batteries.
Maintenance and cleaning
Apart from the occasional battery change, the product is maintenance-free for you.
Maintenance or repair work may be performed only by qualified personnel or a spe-
cialised repair shop. There are no product components which have to be maintained.
For this reason, never open it (except for exchanging the battery, as described in these
operating instructions).
Use a clean, dry and soft cloth for cleaning.
Do not press too hard on the display, this may cause scratch marks or the display to
malfunction; furthermore, the display might break.
Dust can easily be removed using a clean, long-haired brush and a vacuum cleaner.
Do not use abrasive cleaning agents, cleaning alcohol or other chemical solutions,
since these could damage (discolouring) to the housing or even impair operation.
Disposal
a) General
The product must not be disposed of in the household waste!
Dispose of the waste product in accordance with the applicable legal regu-
lations.
Remove any inserted battery (or rechargeable battery) and dispose of it
separately from the product.
b) Batteries and rechargeable batteries
As the end user, you are required by law (Battery Ordinance) to return all used bat-
teries/rechargeable batteries; disposal of them in the household waste is prohibited.
Batteries/rechargeable batteries containing hazardous substances are la-
belled with the symbol opposite to indicate that disposal in domestic waste
is prohibited. The designations for the heavy metals involved are: Cd = Cad-
mium, Hg = Mercury, Pb = Lead.
Used batteries, rechargeable batteries as well as coin cells can be returned to collec-
tion points in your municipality, our stores or wherever batteries/rechargeable batter-
ies/coin cells are sold.
You thereby fulfil your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the
environment.
