13. Disposal
a) General Information
Electric and electronic products do not belong to the household waste.
Please dispose the device when it is no longer in use, according to
the current statutory requirements.
b)Batteries and Rechargeable Batteries
You as the end user are required by law (Battery Ordinance) to return all used bat-
teries/rechargeable batteries. Disposing of them in the household waste is prohibi-
ted.
Batteries containing hazardous substances are labelled with the sym-
bols shown to the left. These symbols also indicate that disposal of the-
se batteries in the household waste is prohibited. The designations for
the decisive heavy metals are: Cd = cadmium, Hg = mercury, Pb = lead.
You can return used batteries/rechargeable batteries/coin cell batte-
ries free of charge at the official collection points of your community,
in our stores, or wherever batteries/rechargeable batteries/coin cell
batteries are sold!
You thus fulfil the legal requirements and make your contribution to protecting the
environment!
