Insert the HP scanning software CD into the PC (1) and follow the onscreen instructions to install the required software. When the

onscreen instructions tell you to do so, connect the power supply to the scanner (2), plug the power supply into a power outlet (3), and
then connect the USB cable between the PC and the scanner (4).
