11. Press the TIMER (10) button again to save these settings.
12. All data entered will run quickly across the display.
13. Switch the device off using the POWER (1) button. The clock symbol and current time will appear in
the display. The timer function is activated The device will now switch itself on and off and the times
you have entered.
14. In order to deactivate the timer function, press the TIMER (10) button again. The clock symbol will
disappear from the display. Press the TIMER (10) button again in order to reactivate the timer fea-
ture. All data entered will run quickly across the display.

SLEEP Function

The SLEEP function allows you to set a time period after which the device will switch itself off automati-
cally.
1. Press the SLEEP (27) button on the remote control. The word „SLEEP 90" appears for a short period
in the display.
2. Press the SLEEP (27) button as often as is necessary to select the desired remaining playback time
(10 min. steps). The word SLEEP appears in the display. After the chosen time, the device switches off
automatically.
3. Deactivate the SLEEP function by pressing the SLEEP button (27) as often as is necessary so that the
word SLEEP disappears from the display. Alternately, simply switch the device off using the POWER
(1) button.
You can check the remaining time before SLEEP by pressing the SLEEP (27) button
The time remaining before SLEEP will be indicated in the display.

Equalizer / X-Bass

By pressing the EQ/X-BASS button (13), you can choose between the various pre-programmed sound
equalizer settings. According to the selected setting, either the bass or treble is emphasized or attenuat-
ed. The settings available for selection are: PASS => CLASSIC => ROCK => POP => JAZZ.
By pressing and holding the EQ/X-BASS button (13), an additional bass boost is achieved. The bass
boost is switched on and off with this button. In the display the words „BBS ON" or „BBS OFF" will
appear.

Mute Function

Press the MUTE (26) button on the remote control to turn the sound off. The VOLUME digit blinks in the
display. Press the MUTE (26) button again to return to the volume level heard previously.
