Inserting/replacing the batteries

Keep batteries away from children.
Make sure that the polarity is correct when inserting the batteries.
Do not leave the batteries lying around in the open; there is a risk of them being
swallowed by children or domestic animals. If swallowed, consult a doctor
immediately.
The batteries must not be short-circuited, opened, taken apart or thrown into the
fire. Never try to charge batteries. There is a risk of explosion!
Old or used batteries can leak chemicals that can damage the device. Therefore
if the device is not to be used for a long time (e.g. storage), remove the batteries.
Leaking or damaged batteries can lead to caustic burning of the skin. Therefore,
use suitable protective gloves.
Only use batteries of the correct size and the recommended type.
Open the battery compartment on the back of the remote control. Insert two new 1.5V micro-batteries
(AAA) in the battery compartment, paying attention to the polarity markings The correct polarity is
stamped in the bottom of the battery compartment . Close the battery compartment.
When the range of the remote control deteriorates or the remote control ceases to function properly, bat-
teries should be replaced as described above.
Batteries with varying states of charge or from different manufacturers should never be mixed.

Operation

The audio centre is capable of playing music held in MP3 format. MP3 is a data format used to compress
music into files of more manageable size. Load the MP3 files on to a CD, memory card or USB stick and
play these on the audio centre without the need to connect this to your computer.
Please note the following for the compilation of MP3 files:
- Do not mix MP3 files on the CD/USB stick/memory card with other files types (e.g. WMA files).
- Don't use MP3 files with bit rate in excess of 256 kbit/s.
- Use a lower burn speed on CD compilation
- Change CD manufacturer should problems occur on playback.
