dusts exist or can occur. Avoid operation in the immediate vici-
nity of
- strong electromagnetic fields (loudspeakers or magnets)
- electromagnetic fields (transformers, motors, coils, relays, etc.)
- electrostatic fields (charge/discharge)
- transmitter antennae
... because otherwise errors in measurement can result. Avoid
operation in very moist and wet surroundings.
• When safe operation is thought no longer possible, the in-
strument should be placed out of service and unintentional
operation prevented! It can be assumed that safe operation is
no longer possible, if the Sound Level Meter
- no longer functions
- shows visible damage
- has been stored for an extended period under adverse con-
ditions, or
- severe transportation stress cannot be ruled out.
• Never operate the Sound Level Meter immediately after it has
been brought from a cold into a warm room. The resulting
condensation water could damage the instrument. Allow the
instrument to reach room temperature.
• Measuring instruments do not belong in the hands of children.
• Use only a soft, damp cloth for external cleaning of the in-
strument. Under no circumstances use solvents or similar for
cleaning.
• The unit may only be operated using a 9V battery exclusively.
