• This turns on the alarm function automatically and a bell symbol appears in the display between the
hours and the minutes.
The settings mode is left automatically if no button is pressed for a few seconds. This way
the new alarm time is saved but the alarm function is not activated (no bell symbol
visible).
Please note:
Turning on the alarm function only happens if the button "ALARM" is pressed briefly while
the minutes of the alarm time are flashing.
c) Switching on/off the alarm function
• If the bell symbol between the display of the hours and minutes is visible, briefly press the button
"ALARM" to deactivate the alarm function; the bell symbol disappears.
d) stop alarm signal & "SNOOZE"
If the alarm is released at the set alarm time (additionally the bell symbol is flashing) it can be stopped
by briefly pressing the button "ALARM".
When the "SNOOZE" button is pressed on the top of the clock, the alarm signal is interrupted for
approx. 10 minutes (between the hours and minutes a symbol "Zz AL" flashes) and is started again
afterwards (snooze function).
Setting the time zone
• Press and hold the "TIMEZONE" button (approx. 2 seconds) until the value in the display starts flash-
ing. This is the number of hours that is added the the "GMT" (Greenwich Mean Time) (e.g. for
Germany there has to be set "01" to adjust the time of day accordingly).
• Briefly press the button "TIMEZONE" repeatedly in order to set the displayed value. "00", "01", "02"
and "03" are possible.
• If you have finished the settings wait a few seconds until the display return to the time of day.
Automatic brightness settings for the display
At the back of the radio table clock (behind the button "SNOOZE") there is a brightness sensor inte-
grated that measures the ambient brightness and, depending on this, adjusts the brightness of the
background illumination. At night the brightness is reduced, in the day it is raised.
Please note: The background illumination cannot be turned off.
Displaying the year
Briefly press the button "+" and the present year is displayed for a few seconds, then the time of day
reappears.
Battery replacement
The "CR2032" battery is used to preserve data in power failures (or if you connect the radio table clock,
i.e. the AC transformer to another mains socket).
Therefore the life-span can amount to up to several years.
We recommend, however, to replace the battery at least every 2 years. An old battery can leak and
thus destroy the battery and the radio table clock.
Keep the AC transformer connected to the mains supply during battery replacement in order not to lose
any settings (e.g. alarm time).
Location for Installation
Select an appropriate installation location. Protect valuable furniture surfaces by using an appropriate
underlay otherwise scratch marks can occur.
Set up the radio table clock in a way it cannot fall down and nobody can stumble over the cable of the
wall power supply unit.
Maintenance and Cleaning
The product does not require any maintenance, never take it apart.
Please use a dry, clean, soft cloth for cleaning. Do not apply too much pressure on the display, as it
can be damaged. Furthermore, scratches can occur.
Do not use any chemical cleaning agents which might discolour the plastic housing.
Disposal
a) Product
Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not be disposed of in the household
waste!
Dispose of the unserviceable product according to the relevant statutory regulations.
b) Batteries and rechargable batteries
The end user is legally obliged (Battery Regulation) to return used batteries and rechargeable batter-
ies. Do not dispose of used batteries via the domestic waste!
Batteries/rechargeable batteries containing harmful substances are marked with the
symbols shown, to indicate that disposal in the domestic waste is forbidden. The symbols
for the relevant heavy metals are: Cd=cadmium, Hg=mercury, Pb=lead (name on
battery/rechargeable battery, e.g. under the rubbish bin icons on the left).
You can return used (rechargeable) batteries free of charge at the official collection
points in your community, our stores, or where ever (rechargeable) batteries are sold!
Thereby you comply with the legal obligations and you contribute to the protection of the environment.
