8. Assembling the model
Before assembling the model, please read through each individual section carefully. The construction phases are illustrated for better understanding.
Please note that the numbers in the text always refer to the components in the illustration to the right.
Only carry out the described steps in the individual sections if you have completely understood the procedure and know exactly what to pay
attention to.
a) Attaching the elevator unit to the fuselage
From the side, push both elevators (1) into the openings in the fuselage (2) and
align them at the fuselage in centre. Make sure that the fuselage top is properly
fitted at the rudder unit. Both elevators must meet in the centre of the slot (3).
Install the wing on the fuselage. Measure the exact position of the elevator unit
to the wing (A = A').
Important:
The accuracy applied when assembling the model plane
significantly influences the flight characteristics.
After accurately measuring, use 5-minute epoxy glue to permanently attach
the elevator unit to the fuselage. Align the elevator unit to the fuselage as
illustrated.
b) Installing the elevator linkage
Insert the two elevator pushrods (1) into the Bowden tubes from the back. Attach
the two clevises to the elevator arms (2). Fasten the clevises using the silicone
ring (3).
