Dosing system using a alternative medium recognition
Task
The standard conductive sensors fitted into the lid of the ASP Station 2000 dosing chamber do not
always switch the dosing sequence off correctly on some mediums.
•
The conductive sensors do not switch with
mediums having low conductivity.
•
When operating on foamy mediums the
conductive sensors switch off the suction
sequence when the foam and not the liquid
medium reaches the electrodes.
•
When operating with very fatty mediums
this will build up a light fatty film on the
electrodes. This can cause a malfunction of the
conductive sensors. The function of a capacitive
sensor will not be influenced by the non
conductive layer.
•
Very corrosive mediums can attack and
damage the metal of the conductive sensor.
The outer material of the capacitive sensor is plastic.
For these special applications the conductive sensors can be substituted by a alternative one.
