5.3 Direct Current (DC) and Alternating Current (AC)
Voltage Measurement
5.3.1 Connecting the Measuring leads
Always use the measuring leads supplied for your measurements.
Before connecting, always check the insulation of the connectors
or measurement probes for damage. These measuring leads meet
the requirements for voltages up to 600 V max.. For voltage mea-
surement, your clamp-on ammeter is designed for voltages up to
600 VDC or 600 VACrms max.. Take special precautions when
measuring voltages greater than 25 V AC/ 35 V DC. Connect the
red measuring lead to the VWHz socket and the black measuring
lead to the COM socket.
Important!
Never exceed the max. input parameters. Otherwise damage to
the device may occur and there is a potentially lethal hazard.

5.3.2 Instructions for Measuring DC or AC Voltages
a) Set the measurement function switch to 400 V or 600 V
when measuring voltages. If you are measuring DC voltage,
set the slide switch DC/AC to DC. If you are measuring AC
voltage, set the slide switch to AC. „AC" then shows in the
display.
b) Connect the measurement probes to the measurement
object (load, voltage source, circuit, etc.). Please study the
figure shown below.
