INTRODUCTION
With this chocolate fountain, you can process melted chocolate.
Fruit and other foods can be dipped into the chocolate and covered with a layer of chocolate. The chocolate fountain
is perfect for private use, for example when serving dessert at a dinner party with friends and acquaintances.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
1.
Read this instruction manual thoroughly prior to using this device.
2.
If this device is given to a third party, then this instruction manual must also be handed over.
3.
This device corresponds to the technical standards and the current safety requirements for electric devices.
4.
The manufacturer does not accept liability for damages, which may result from improper use or from not
abiding by these instruction manual.
5.
The fountain must be turned off after every use.
6.
Keep this device out of reach of children. Do not let children use electric devices without supervision.
7.
This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities, or by those with a lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or
instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
8.
Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
9.
Never immerse this device, the cord or the power plug into water.
10.
Never use this device near a bathtub or shower or near a sink filled with water. Danger of electrocution!
11.
If the fountain does fall into water, immediately pull the plug out of the power socket and have it checked by an
authorised professional before switching it on again.
12.
Protect this device from any moisture, including splashing water and dampness. In particular, make sure that
no moisture or liquids get inside the openings of the device.
13.
Before inserting the power plug into the power socket, make sure that the power supply corresponds to the
information on the label.
14.
Do not let the cord hang over sharp edges and keep it away from hot objects and open flames.
15.
Additional protection can be attained by installing a residual current protection device in the house with a rated
residual operating current that does not exceed 30 mA. Consult your electrician for further information.
16.
Only connect this device to a grounded power socket.
17.
When disconnecting from the power supply, always pull on the power plug, not the power cord.
18.
Lay the power cord and a possibly required extension cord in such as way that accidentally pulling on it or
tripping over it will not be possible.
19.
Using an extension cord with this device is not recommended by the manufacturer! However, should an
extension cord be used, it must correspond to the power rating, otherwise the power cord and/or the power
plug could overheat. Always roll up the power cord completely.
20.
Always pull the power plug out of the power socket when the fountain is not being used, or when it is to be
cleaned or accessories are to be attached or removed. In an emergency, immediately pull the power plug out of
the power socket. The power plug must always be easily accessible during use.
21.
This device is not suitable for or outdoor use or for use in rooms with a high humidity.
22.
Caution! This device is supplied with power as long as it is still connected to the power supply.
23.
Never carry the fountain by its power cord. Never touch the power plug with wet or damp hands.
24.
Do not open this device. Never attempt to repair this device yourself. Repairs should only be performed by
qualified professionals.
25.
If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified
persons in order to avoid a hazard.
26.
Do not use this device when it is visibly damaged or if it falls on the floor or is otherwise damaged. In such
cases, have the fountain checked over and/or repaired in an authorised repair shop. In order to avoid hazards,
defective components should only be replaced by the manufacturer, his customer service or by similarly
qualified persons.
27.
Always place this device on a flat, even, non-slip and heat resistant surface. This could otherwise result in
injuries and damages. Always place this device on a level and flat surface.
28.
Do not use this device next to or near hot surfaces, such as hot plates, ovens etc.
29.
This device must be supervised during use.
30.
Danger of burns! Some parts of the fountain become very hot during operation. Do not touch hot components
with bare hands. Moving the fountain while it is still hot is not recommended and could result in serious injuries.
31.
Danger of burns! Hot liquids are dangerous and could result in serious burns.
32.
When hot, let this device cool down in an area out of reach of children.
33.
This device is only intended for the purpose of preparing chocolate for human consumption. Do not use this
device with other types of food or otherwise.
34.
The appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate remote control system.
