Care and maintenance

Always switch off the appliance and pull out
the mains plug before care and mainte-
nance work.
Safety inspection/ maintenance
contract
You can sign with your dealer a contract for
regular safety inspection or even sign a
maintenance contract.
Please take advice on this matter.
Maintenance intervals
Daily
 Check oil level of the high pressure
pump.
The oil level must be between the "MIN"
and "MAX" markings on the oil container.
 Add oil if required (see technical speci-
fications).
ATTENTION
Risk of damage! In case of lacteous oil in-
form Kärcher customer service immediate-
ly.
Weekly or after 40 operating hours
 Clean filter at the water connection.
 Clean filter at the detergent suck hose.
 Check the swimmer valve in the swim-
mer container for leaks.
After 50 operating hours
 Change the oil in the high pressure
pump.
Yearly or after 500 operating hours
 Change the oil in the high pressure
pump.
Maintenance Works
Clean filter at the water connection
 Unscrew the filter casing, remove the
filter, clean it and replace it.
Clean filter at the detergent suck hose
 Take out detergent suck hose.
 Clean filter in water and reinstall.
Oil change
 For oil type refer to technical specifica-
tions.
 Turn out the oil drain screw.
 Drain the oil in a collection basin.
 Screw in oil drain plug.
 Slowly fill in new oil until the "MAX"
marking on the oil container.
Note:
Air pockets must be able to leak out.
Dispose of old oil ecologically or turn in at
a gathering point.

Appliance is not running
– No power
 Check the plugs and sockets.
 Check whether the voltage indicated on
the type plate corresponds to the volt-
age of the socket.
