2.2 Product description
Models
● EZD .. BL: Single-phase AC model
● DZD .. BL Three-phase AC version
Product features
● Roof fans in nominal sizes Ø 250 to
Ø 600.
● Unit for ventilation, horizontal air outlet.
● Speed controllable.

● The unit is switched on or off with a switch
that is to be provided by the customer.
● These are potential-free terminal connec-
tions and have to be connected to an
external control device with an automatic,
self-holding switch-off function. For exam-
ple, to a Maico motor protection switch
MVE 10 (EZD .. BL), MV 25 (DZD .. BL)
or to a contactor circuit with self-holding.
● EZD .. BL single-phase AC model with
capacitor motor (operating capacitor ready
for connection in the terminal box).
Thermal overload protection
The fan motor has thermal protection
(temperature sensor in the motor winding).
The overload protection automatically
switches off the fan via the external control
device in the event of overload (overheating).
The fan must remain switched off long
enough for the motor and temperature limiter
to cool down, before starting the fan back up.
Depending on size and temperature
conditions, it may take up to 30 minutes to
cool down. Only switch unit on after this.
2.3 Intended use
● EZD .. BL and DZD .. BL are roof fans for
use in small commercial operations or
conditions similar to those experienced in
the home.
● These fans are used to ventilate produc-
tion sites, workplaces, commercial spaces,
restaurants, exhibition areas, machine
extraction areas, industrial halls, foreman's
offices etc.
● They may be used on roofs (flat, inclined,
corrugated or trapezoidal roofs), ceilings
or brackets with sufficient load-bearing
capacity.
