Securing filter assembly (see fig. 7,8)
Ensure the O-ring on the top of the filter tank is in good condition and is free of
sand. Take the eliminator and press it into the center hole located under the tank
cover. If you are assembling Speedclean Comfort 75, the eliminator will already be
in place. (There are two slots in the tank into which you can press the eliminator. It
does not matter which one you use.) Carefully place the tank cover onto the filter
tank. The tank cover should be turned so that the notch on the cover is aligned with
the matching tab on the filter tank – this ensures proper alignment.
Secure tank cover with the clamp provided for it and tighten with the bolt and the
knob.
Connecting the hoses (see fig. 9,10,11)
Connecting the filter system
Before connecting to the filter or the pump, make sure that no water flows from the
inlet or the outlet hose to your pool.
Pools with 1¼" or 1½" diameter plugged hoses (see fig. 12,13)
The following instructions assume that your pool is already fully assembled and
attached to the inlet and outlet water hoses. Ensure that all hose-connections are
tight and that the hoses are neither kinked nor have several bends.

Important Do´s and Dont´s
DO:
■ Be aware and make note of the filter pressure when the sand is clean. Backwash
when you see an increase of 0,3 – 0,6 bar on the pressure gauge.
■ Backwash long enough to get the job done right. Let the system backwash until
the water leaving the waste line is clear. Note that backwashing can remove 200
– 1100 liter of water from your pool so pay attention. Also, be aware of local codes
regarding pool water disposal as some communities outlaw drainage.
DONT'S:
■ Move valve handle while the pump is running. It will damage the valve and pos-
sibly other equipment as well.
In start up
Once the filter system has been properly assembled, the sand chamber filled with
sand and the hoses connected as described above, you may begin with filtration.
However, we recommend that you clean and prepare the new sand that is in the
sand chamber first. Cleaning the sand prior to filtering your pool will remove most
of the dust and tiny sand particles that may exist in the sand. If you move straight to
filtering, these particles will end up in your pool. To clean the sand, please follow the
instructions below:
Do not plug the system in until advised to do so below.
■ Ensure the power cord of the pump is unplugged.
■ Turn the valve lever into the „closed" position.
■ Before running the filter system, make sure that the filtration system is positioned
outside the basin and level lower than the water level of the pool, as well as the
hose connections are properly connected and fixed.
■ If your pool is not filled, fill it with water. Ensure that the water level of the pool is at
least 2.5 to 5 cm above the opening of the filling nozzle (skimmer).
■ Open the plunger valve on the filling nozzle (skimmer) of the pool. If you have
closed the filling nozzle (skimmer) with a plug, remove it now.
■ Since the location of the filtration system is lower than the water level of the pool,
the filtration system now automatically fills with water.
■ Now the filter system is vented. If available, slightly open the pre-filter cover of the
filter pump until water flows out of the prefilter pot (transparent cover with screw
connection on the top of the filter pump).
■ Fill the filter tank with water.
■ Check the filter system and connecting hoses for leaks and remove them if
necessary. Due to production tolerances, it may happen that, in the event of any
leaks, a Teflon tape must be wound over the connections before the connecting
hose is inserted.
■ Backwash the filter media as described.
Backwash Prozess
■ S Disconnect the Motor/Pump from the Power Source.
■ Attach backwash hose (not included) to backwash port.
■ Place the Multi-Port Valve in the "Backwash" position.
■ Reconnect to power source.
■ Run filter in BACKWASH mode until discharge water is clear.
■ Disconnect the Motor/Pump from the Power Source.
■ Place the Multi-Port Valve in the "RINSE" position.
■ Reconnect to power source.
■ Allow filter to run for 60 seconds to remove any remaining residue from pump
and valve.
■ Disconnect the Motor/Pump from the Power Source.
■ Place the Multi-Port Valve in the "Filtration" position.
■ Reconnect to power source.
■ Your filtration system is RUNNING and ready for further operation.
Filtering time
The swimming pool's water should be circulated and filtered at least 3 to 5 times
in a 24 hour period, depending on the load and the size of the filter system. The
time required is based on the performance of the filter system and the size of the
swimming pool. However, we recommend a minimum running time of 12 hours per
day.
Power source Instructions
The filter system you have purchased is equipped with a connection cable, which
may only be connected to a circuit with a residual current circuit breaker (RCCB)
with a rated residual current of no more than 30mA.
