To route the cable through the weight tower:
1. Locate the pulley positioned over the opening where the cable will thread
up through the weight tower. Using a ³ ₄-inch socket wrench and a ³ ₄-inch
open-end wrench, remove the bolt, and then remove the pulley and cable
retainer.

2. Thread the cable up through the weight tower frame. Replace the pulley
and cable retainer making sure that the cable is positioned in the pulley
trough and under the cable retaining bracket. Tighten the bolt to 500 in-lb
(56 N-m) of torque.
Note: When properly installed, the cable retainer keeps the cable securely
seated in the pulley. However, the retainer must not contact the cable
while the cable is under load (for example, during a workout).

3. Using a ³ ₄-inch socket wrench and a ³ ₄-inch open-end wrench, remove the
nut and cable retainer on the second pulley.

4. Thread the cable over the pulley and replace the cable retainer, making
sure that the cable is positioned in the pulley groove and under the cable
retainer. Using a ³ ₄-inch socket wrench and a ³ ₄-inch open-end wrench,
tighten the nut to 500 in-lb (56 N-m) of torque.
