Ironing
CAUTION!
■ Please note that synthetic fi bres, nylon and silk are not ironed with steam. The tex-
tiles may be damaged!
■ Never press the steam burst button for longer than 5 seconds without stopping to
prevent water from running out of the bottom of the iron.
■ Make sure that there is a suffi cient amount of water in the water reservoir if you want
to use the steam burst button.
■ Never aim the steam directly at people, animals or plants. This can cause severe
scalding.
1. For steam-ironing or spray function, fi ll the water reservoir (6) with water (see sec-
tion „Filling the Water Reservoir"). If you dry-iron, you do not need any water in the
water reservoir!
2. Move the temperature control (5), to the medium (••) to maximum temperature.
Steam-ironing is possible in this range (Please note the care label of the item to be
ironed states).
3. Once the device has reached the set temperature, the temperature control lamp (2)
goes out.
4. For steam-ironing slide the steam quantity control (10), depending on the quantity of
steam you want, to the desired position. To dry-iron, leave it in position 0.
5. Use the device like a conventional iron.
6. When the water reservoir (6) is empty, steam will no longer be produced. Follow the
instructions in the "Filling the Water Reservoir" section to top it up again.
Steam Blast / Vertical Steam-Ironing
CAUTION!
■ Make sure when doing vertical ironing that there is plenty of space around the item
of clothing which is to be ironed. You may only perform vertical ironing if the item of
clothing is hanging on a hanger and cannot come into contact with other garments,
objects, people or animals.
■ Iron the laundry only in places where heat and moisture cannot do any damage, e.g.
NOT in front of wallpaper, windows or mirrors.
In addition to conventional steam-ironing, the iron can also emit a strong blast of steam,
e.g. for smoothing stubborn creases or textiles which are hanging up.

1. Make sure that the water reservoir (6) has been fi lled.
2. Heat up the device.
3. Use the steam quantity control (10) to set the quantity of
steam you want (0 – max). You can now start ironing.
4. When performing vertical steam-ironing on delicate fab-
rics, hold the iron a few centimetres away from the fabric.
