Rinsing stop (ex factory INDIVIDUAL)
Select «Extended basic settings»!
If this function is set to «General», all easy care, deli-
cates or shirt programmes automatically add a rinsing
stop.
Dirt sensor (ex factory WASH + RINSE)
Select «Extended basic settings»!
Dirt measurement during washing:
If the dirt sensor is switched on during washing, the
wash time will automatically be increased in case of
heavily soiled laundry. The dirt measurement is effected
for boil wash, coloureds and easy care programmes.
If liquid detergents or tabs are placed directly into the
drum, the dirt sensor during washing must be switched
off.
Dirt sensor during rinse:
If the dirt sensor is switched on during rinsing, up to two
extra rinses will be carried out in case of heavily turbid
rinsing water.
Load metering (Option / ex factory ON)
Select «Extended basic settings»!
With the load metering switched on, the weight of the
loaded laundry is shown on the display.
To ensure that load metering functions properly, the
wash program must first be selected with the machine
door open and then the laundry must be loaded.
If the weight of the loaded laundry is smaller than half
the admissible wash weight, the wash time will be shor-
tened.
Please observe the hint on the display regarding the
reduction of the detergent quantity in case of smaller
laundry weights: The doses 1/2, 2/3, 1/1 (full) refer to
the quantities stated by the detergent manufacturer.
Memory function (ex factory OFF)
Select «Extended basic settings»!
If the memory function is switched on, the selected
tem perature and spin additional functions are saved for
each programme. If the same programme is selected
again, the stored values are automatically used.
The values can then be altered.
Hygiene programme (ex factory OFF)
Select «Extended basic settings»!
If the hygiene function is switched on, all possible hy-
giene measures will be indicated at the display during
programme selection.

Soap wash programme (ex factory OFF)
Select «Extended basic settings»!
When this programme is switched on, an extra rinse is
added.

Soak programme (ex factory OFF)
Select «Extended basic settings»!
When this programme is switched on:
soaking time of up to 12 hours.
X After the programme is selected preselect additional
function.
X Set the desired soaking time by pressing the function
«Soaking» once or several times.
X The soaking time starts when the start button is
pressed.
Notes:
X Add soaking detergent in section I of the detergent
drawer and your usual detergent in section II.
 The soaking programme must be reprogrammed for
each wash.
 Soaking can be interrupted and the wash programme
started by pressing the quick wash button.
 The current soaking time is stored in the event of a
power cut. The duration of the power cut is not taken
into account.
Cool down function (ex factory OFF)
Select «Extended basic settings»!
Detergent solution cooling: When the detergent solution
cooling function is switched on, boiling water is cooled
with cold water at the end of the washing process.
This helps to prevent damage to older drains.
This cooling always takes place in the easy care and shirts
pro grammes, irrespective of this setting. This helps to
prevent creases.
Loosening up at programme end (ex factory ON)
Select «Extended basic settings»!
When this function is selected, the laundry is tumbled
for 5 minutes at the end of the programme.
LCD Brightness (ex factory 220)
Select «Extended basic settings»!
The button can be used to alter the brightness of
the text on the display.
LCD Contrast (ex factory 41)
Select «Extended basic settings»!
The button can be used to alter the contrast on
the display.
Alarm volume (ex factory VOLUME 2)
Select «Extended basic settings»!
With the Alarm setting switched on, a signal sounds at
regular intervals at the end of the programme. The level
can be adjusted in 3 levels using the
Off

Volume 3
button.
