Abnormal functioning of this unit may be caused by static electricity, or other external interference. To restore normal operation, unplug the AC
power cord and then plug it in again.

Cause
Tape itself has high noise level.
Unit has been placed near TV set.
Recording level is too low.
Dirty the heads.
Heads are magnetized.
The control cable is not connected.
CD»DECK SYNCHRO control cable and input/Output
cables are not connected,
The cassette tape accidental erasure prevention tabs
broken.
The tape ran out while in the CD . DECK SYNCHRO
mode.
After the deck entered recording standby mode,
more than 1 minute elapsed before the CD player
resumed playback.
Remedy
a Replace cassette tape.
Inspect input and output connections: connect
a
cables properly (see page 7).
Move the deck away from the TV set or turn the
a
TV power off.
Turn up recording level and record (see page 18).

a Clean the heads (see page 6).
a Demagnetize them with head eraser.
Connect control cable properly (see page 7).

a Connect correctly (see page 7).
Replace the cassette with one whose tabs are
a
intact (see page 4 and 5).
Replace the tape with a longer one.

a Change the disc and press the CD SYNCHRO
button again.
