To ensure correct functioning and a long life
span, avoid leaving the instrument in direct
sunlight where it can heat up.
Prior to any measurement, ensure that the test
leads and the test instrument are in perfect con-
dition.
Test lead and mains plug may only be touched
at the handles provided. The mains plug may
never be touched during operation.
The measurement instrument never be used in
voltages of more then 250V AC/DC
The test instrument may only be used within
the specified measurement ranges(as men-
tioned in the technical data section).

3.1 Appropriate Usage
The instrument may only be used under those
conditions and for those purposes for which it
was conceived. For this reason, in particular the
safety references, the technical data including
environmental conditions and the usage in dry
environments must be followed.
When modifying or changing the instrument,
the operational safety is no longer ensured.
The instrument may only be opened by an au-
thorised service technician, e.g. for fuse re-
placement.
Any maintenance and calibration tasks may
only be carried out by our repair service staff.
The instrument may not be operated if the bat-
tery case is open.
If the instrument is subjected to an extremely
high electro-magnetic field, its functioning
ability may be impaired.
