Assembly
The basic optiPoint Conference Kit contains a power supply unit, a distribution
frame module, a conference loudspeaker, two conference microphones as well
as cables and corresponding assembly materials (see scope of supply). The as-
sembly materials also include the connection cables for two further optional mi-
crophones (alternatively available also as clip-on microphone), as well as two
supplementary connection cables and coupling bushing, in the event that the mi-
crophone connections need to be extended.
With the exception of the power supply unit and the connection cables to the
optiPoint acoustic adapter, the same components are found in the Extension
optiPoint Conference Kit.
The connection cable "DUD:VK008-2,5" to the optiPoint acoustic adapter (sym-
bol for loudspeaker/micro) from the power supply unit is provided with coded
connectors and should only be used for the connection FS-Power supply unit (la-
belled red).
Warning: It should never be connected with the output connector of the
power supply unit to the distribution frame module. For the connection
of the power supply unit to the distribution frame, respectively module 1
or module 2, the 5 metre cable "DUD:VK008-5" should be used.
For a hidden configuration of the equipment, the distribution frame module and
power supply unit feature side mounting links, through which it is possible to at-
tach the equipment under the table, in the event that there is no false floor.
Those in the set of assembly materials, with assembly holes and connectors 6/
4 are provided for the connection of the conference microphone. The connec-
tors are suggested for use near the speaker's seat, to be brought under the
edge of the table, connected on one side with the connection cable
"DUD:VK006-4" with the distribution frame module and on the other side with
the microphone.
The connection cable "DUD:VK006-4" distribution frame module to coupling
bushing) can if needed be extended with the accessory cable "DUD:VK006-2"
and additional coupling bushings.
Warning: Only the cables found in the set should be used.
The conference loudspeaker is connected with the labelled connectors to the
distribution frame module. An additional power supply unit for the active loud-
speaker is not required, as the power supply takes place via the module's power
supply unit.
The adhesive surfaces and cable clamps provided serve to hold the input leads
in place under the desk. By cabling all components together with plug connec-
tions the composition can be varied and can for example be transferred between
conference tables without difficulty, or great loss of time and can be adjusted to
the environment.
After installation has been completed the power supply unit is connected with
the mains supply (country-specific adapter plugs are provided locally).
The operating light (LED) on the loudspeaker and microphones flashes.
