• The recommended exposure time is calculated on the basis of:
- Skin type of the user
- SF (sun protection factor) of the sun cream
• Keep the UV (6) pressed for 3 seconds to reach the setting mode for skin type and
SF. Press the + or - button to set the value and then the UV (6) button to confirm the
setting.

• SF relates to the duration of sun exposure before the respective skin type of a person
exhibits burning. An SF value is used by manufacturers of sun screen cosmetics such
as sun cream, lipstick, make-up etc. For instance if you use a suncream with SF 4
you can stay in the sun 4 x longer, without risking sunburn, than without suncream.
• As soon as the UV button (6) has been pressed, the 6 day overview is displayed as
a bar chart in the middle left of the screen. It specifies the UV radiation of the last
6 days.
