4.3 Emptying and cleaning
Grease separators must be emptied and cleaned at least once a month by properly
qualified personnel,
Chap. 1.4 „„Personnel qualifications". More frequently depending
on the quantity of grease or sludge produced.
Enter the date and address of the disposal contractor in the operating log.
With the optional ACO "Comfort" grease thickness measuring device the date and
data of the grease thickness profile is stored on an integrated SD card.
4.3.1 Checks
Define further disposal intervals. The storage capacity of the sludge trap (half sludge

trap volume) and the grease separator (volume of the grease collection chamber) must
not be exceeded.
In the case of grease separators with sludge and grease extraction equipment or
■
with disposal and rinsing equipment: Carry out the cleaning and functional check, if
applicable, check for the free outlet of the filling equipment to EN 1717.
Check cover of the raising system, especially its condition and the leaktightness of the
■
seal.
Clean the sampling equipment.

4.3.2 Basic version/Lipumax P -B
Interrupt the wastewater infeed or stop kitchen operation.

Open raising system (undo threaded fastener and lift off cover) and insert suction hose
Î
(suction vehicle).
Switch on the suction vehicle pump until the quantity in the housing has dropped by
Î
approx. ¼.
If necessary break up hardened grease layer in the housing.
Î
Switch on suction vehicle pipe and empty the housing.
Î
Switch off suction vehicle pump and clean the housing.
Î
Switch on suction vehicle pump and pump out soiled cleaning water.
Î
Switch off suction vehicle pump and remove suction hose from the grease separator.
Î
Fill at least ²/ ³ of the housing capacity with fresh water.
Î
Close off raising system (insert cover and screw tight) and switch on wastewater infeed
Î
or start up kitchen operation.
