In these cases you can use the learn function to trans-
fer the functions from your original remote control
to the preferred keys on the universal remote control
(see "Learn function" on page 21).

9.2. SHIFT function

After programming a device code, the buttons on the
universal remote control can have double functions
(with the exception of the S E T U P and M A C R O
keys).
To use the second function, briefly press TUP and then
press one of the dual function or numeric buttons
(within 15 to 20 seconds).
Test the additional functions assigned to a
button for a particular device code.

9.3. Recordings

The (Record) button must be pressed twice to re-
cord (e.g. on video recorder, DVD, or cassette recor-
der). This is to prevent accidental recordings.
