13.2. Volume/mute

Image transmitting devices connected to a TV (e.g. TV,
DVD, VCR, SAT, CBL) often do not have their own vol-
ume control.
When the universal remote control is controlling this
type of device and the V O L (volume) or M U T E keys
are pressed, the volume control addresses the TV.
You can modify this basic device setting (see. both
sections below).
The volume/mute functions are referred to
in the shortened form V O L /M U T E be-
low.
13.2.1. Programming the VOL/MUTE
universal functions to another
device type
You can program the remote control so that the uni-
versal functions V O L /M U T E will control a device
type other than the TV set. Of course, this device must
have a volume control.
 Press the Setup button for approx. 3 seconds until
CODE SET appears in the display.
 Press  to select SYSTEM SET.
 Press O K . The display will show VOLUME SET.
 Press O K again. The VOL/MUTE ALL menu is
displayed. This menu allows you to programme all
VOL/MUTE commands for the device type se-
lected in the next step.
