2.3 Requirements for the installation
location
Material damage due to inadequate ventilation
If, owing to an inadequate or blocked air supply,
individual components are not cooled sufficiently,
this can cause the components to age prematurely
and, therefore, lead to irreversible damage. Sufficient
air circulation in the device is only possible if the
device is closed during operation.
Sufficiently ventilate the installation room

 Install all components according to the instructions
Do not store any objects on or above the device

Operate the device only when it is closed

Always choose an installation location before the
storage system is delivered. You must ensure that the
installation location that you choose meets the
following conditions:
Room requirements

– Dry and closed
– Protected against penetrating water
– Clean and free of foreign objects
– Free from highly flammable (e.g. paper) or
explosive materials (e.g. fuel, paint)
– Sufficiently ventilated
Room sizes

– Room sizes larger than 8.00 m³
– Rooms from 8 to 25 m³: passive or active
ventilation is required (at 8 m³: Air exchange rate
of 12 m³/h)
– Rooms over 25 m³: no separate ventilation
measures required
– Min. base surface area of 2.00 m²
– Min. height of 2.00 m
– Min. depth of 2.00 m
