Minimum cross section of the chimney shall be 250 cm2 or dia. 180 mm with the height of 5 to 6 m from the
bottom of the firebox. The chimney channel shall be tight, with even cross section over the entire length and
shall protrude 0.5 m above the roof ridge.
Prior to proceeding with the fireplace insert installation consult a chimney sweeper, measure the draught
within the chimney and inspect the chimney to establish whether it is possible to use the existing chimney for
the fireplace connection.
The space requirement for the room in which the fireplace will be installed is at least 10 m3 per 1 kW of the
rated output, i.e. in this particular case 70 m3.

FIREPLACE INSTALLATION

The fireplace shall be installed on a non-combustible base, at least 15 cm thick. The installation shall be
performed only by qualified staff or specialised companies.
The installation works shall be performed in accordance with applicable regulations and standards, these
Installation and Operating Instructions, in particular those regarding the flue pipes, the chimney, air supply
provision, fire precautions, etc.
The schematic diagram (Drawing No. 1) shows an example of the fireplace insert installation.
When coating the fireplace insert with elements made of stone, ceramics or similar (non-combustible)
materials, make sure that:
