Assembly

Only assemble and use the PHE electronic indicator and the IS M12... insulating stick as shown in
Figure 1, page 5.
3.1 Screwing the insulating stick in place
An M12 threaded bush is situated at the upper end of the IS M12... insulating stick.
Screw the lower end of the electronic indicator (indicator with M12 threaded pin) hand-tight into the
insulating stick.
3.2 Plug-in coupling system
PHE voltage detectors can be optionally fitted with a plastic plug-in coupling that allows
to extend the handle of the voltage detector.
The plastic plug-in coupling is self-guiding and protected against twisting.
For assembly and disassembly, simply push the yellow pushbutton.
Check the assembled coupling elements for tight fit before they are used.
The yellow pushbutton must be fully snapped into the longitudinal hole of the bush in a
form-fitting manner (see Fig. 3).
If several extension handles with HV STK... plug-in coupling are used, the combination of
the PHE... voltage detector (and attached test probes) and the insulating stick (and all
extensions) must not exceed a total length of 7000 mm.

Rating plate
The technical data (nominal voltage, nominal frequency)
and the instructions on the rating plate must be observed (see Fig. 4).
Only one person may operate the PHE voltage detector during testing.
