1.1 Important information
ATTENTION!
Before opening the device, ensure that all circuits are isolated from the
power supply
ATTENTION!
Work on the thermal energy meter must only be performed by qualified
personnel
ATTENTION!
The sensors are only installed after the hydraulic integration has been
completed.
ATTENTION!
Please observe the flow direction of the VFS measuring tube. The flow
direction is indicated by an arrow on the outside of the plastic pipe.
ATTENTION!
All components of the thermal energy meter must be installed in a dry and
frost-free location. Ensure that no condensation forms on the device.
ATTENTION!
Only use pure water in the heating circuit (no mixtures, no antifreeze)!
ATTENTION!
Please observe the required clearance to pumps! Eddying effects lead to
incorrect thermal energy measurements
ATTENTION!
Temperature sensors R2 and R9 do not designate the return flow and/or
flow sensors integrated into the heat pump.
ATTENTION!
The VFS sensor for volume flow measurement must be installed the right
way round. This is the case when the cable outlet of the sensor is on the
outflow side of the measuring tube.
1.2 Intended use
This device is only intended for use as specified by the manufac-
turer. The device is for connection to the WPM2006/WPM2007
(from software version H61) and is used for the measurement
and evaluation of the thermal energy (in kWh) emitted in the
heating circuit. EN 1434 does not apply.
1.3 Legal regulations and directives
When connecting the thermal energy meter to the power supply,
the relevant VDE, EN and IEC standards are to be observed. Any
further connection requirements stipulated by local utility compa-
nies must be observed.
Persons, especially children, who are not capable of operating
the device safely due to their physical, sensory or mental abilities
or due to their inexperience or lack of knowledge, must not oper-
ate this device without supervision or instruction by the person in
charge.
Children must be supervised to ensure that they do not play with
the device.
EN-2
ATTENTION!
If terminal N1/J7-IDC9 is not used, this terminal must be connected with
the potential N1/G0.
ATTENTION!
The thermal energy meter measures the quantity of thermal energy
supplied by the heat pump. The cooling capacity is not measured.
ATTENTION!
In the case of reversible heat pumps with additional heat exchanger, two
thermal energy meters must be installed. The first one is for the heating
circuit, and the other is for the circuit via the additional heat exchanger.
This second thermal energy meter measures the quantity of thermal
energy required for domestic hot water and/or swimming pool water
preparation.
ATTENTION!
With reversible heat pumps, the connection for the external heating/
cooling switch over is no longer made via digital input N1/J7-ID12. From
software version H61 onwards, the heating/cooling switch connection is
made via input N2/J5-ID4!
ATTENTION!
For the evaluation of the pulses, the heat pump manager (WPM2006/2007)
requires software version H61 or higher. The current software version of
the heat pump manager can be checked in the "Operating data" menu. If
an older software version is present, an update is required.
ATTENTION!
A manual comparison must be carried out during start-up and at regular
intervals (after-sales service intervals) if a dual differential pressureless
manifold is used.
Any other use beyond that intended by the manufacturer is pro-
hibited. This means that the user must also observe all relevant
product information. Tampering with or altering the device is not
permitted.
