Tips For Better Reception
FM: For best reception fully unwind the wire antenna.
AM: The unit comes with a built-in ferrite antenna. For best reception change the direction of the unit.
Basic CD Playback
A variety of basic functions are available for CD playback, which are explained in the following. Most of
the functions for Audio CDs and MP3 CDs are similar and in the second part only the additional functions
for MP3 CDs are explained.
CD Playback
The CD player can play Audio CDs and MP3 CDs. Do not attempt to play data CDs or VCD/DVD discs.
1. Repeatedly press FUNC. on the remote control or FUNCTION on the unit, until CD is displayed. READ
flashes on the display. If no CD is inserted, NO DISC is displayed.
2. Press OPEN/CLOSE
3. Insert a CD, CD-R or CD-RW disc with the label up and press OPEN/CLOSE
compartment. At first CLOSE is displayed for a short moment, afterwards the CD is read, CD is
displayed and READ flashes during this period. After reading the total number of tracks and the total
playing time is displayed.
4. In case playback does not start automatically (depending on the disc), please press
on the unit or on the remote control to start playback of the first track manually. Now the display
shows the current track number and the elapsed playing time.
5. Press PLAY/PAUSE on the unit or
number the elapsed playing time flashes. Press
control again to continue playback.
6. Press STOP on the unit or
track numbers and STOP.
CD playback is also stopped when:
a. opening the CD compartment with OPEN/CLOSE
b. pressing FUNC. on the remote control or FUNCTION on the unit to select a different mode;
c. all tracks on the CD have been played.
Skip Mode
In playback mode press
remote control to skip to the previous or next track.
1. Select the track in playback, stop or pause modes and start playback with
unit or on the remote control.
2. Briefly press NEXT/TUNE+ on the unit or
or press this button repeatedly, until the desired track number is displayed.
3. Press SKIP+10 on the unit once to skip 10 tracks forward.
4. To skip one or several tracks back repeatedly press
remote control. Press
the beginning of the current track, press twice to skip to the beginning of the previous track.
Fast Forward And Rewind
Press and hold NEXT/TUNE+ or
control to access fast forward or rewind functions through the track to search for a certain position.
Program Playback
Up to 65 tracks can be programmed in your desired sequence; any track can be programmed more than
once.
