Use

CAUTION!
❐ Never hold the nozzles close to parts of your body during use and do not place your
hands inside the nozzles. They could become stuck to the device/injured. If the
vacuum cleaner becomes fi rmly attached due to suction, turn it off immediately .
❐ Keep the nozzles away from animals during operation. Never attempt to vacuum ani-
mals using the device. They could become stuck to the device/injured. If the vacuum
cleaner becomes fi rmly attached due to suction, turn it off immediately.
❐ Ensure that there are no larger, sharp objects on the surface which is to be cleaned.
❐ Make sure that the MAX marking on the dust container is not exceeded when liquids
are sucked up.
❐ Always hold the device horizontally when liquids are sucked up. Make sure that
sucked-up liquids do not get into the motor unit.
❐ Do not in any case vacuum up the following:
– smouldering ashes, cigarette butts, matches etc.
– fl ammable or ignitable materials
– very fi ne dust (e.g. cement dust), ash or toner
– hard, pointy objects such as bigger glass shards
❐ Empty and clean the dust container after each use (see the "Cleaning and Storage"
chapter).
❐ Do not use the device when it is connected to the mains adapter.
1. Remove the mains adapter from the device.
2. Insert one of the attachments into the suction opening on the front of the collecting
container.
3. Select an attachment. The attachments are inserted into the suction opening on the
front of the device:
Crevice nozzle:
Use the crevice nozzle to vacuum in folds in fabrics, corners, recesses or other places
which are hard to reach.
Crevice nozzle brush attachment:
Place the brush attachment onto the crevice nozzle. The crevice nozzle brush
attachment cannot be used without the crevice nozzle! Use the brush attachment
to remove dust from delicate objects such as picture frames, lamp shades, keyboards,
books etc.
Short nozzle:
Use the short nozzle to remove dirt and small quantities of liquid on smooth surfaces.
4. Switch on the device using the On / Off switch. The device will start vacuuming
immediately.
5. Move the device over the area which is to be cleaned.
6. Switch off the device using the On / Off switch after you have fi nished vacuum
cleaning.
