Battery Notes
• Batteries should be kept out of the reach of children.
• Please pay attention to the correct polarity (plus/+ and minus/-) when inserting the battery.
• Do not leave batteries lying around in the open; there is a risk of them being swallowed by children or pets.
If swallowed, consult a doctor immediately, it could be fatal!
• Batteries must not be short-circuited, opened, taken apart or thrown into a fi re. There is a risk of fi re and
explosion!
• Conventional batteries must not be charged any more, there is a risk of fi re and explosion.
• Old or used batteries can leak chemicals that can damage the device. Therefore, if the device is not to be
used for a long time (e.g. storage), remove the battery.
• Leaking or damaged batteries can lead to caustic burning upon skin contact. Therefore, use suitable
protective gloves.
• Only use a battery of the correct size and the recommended type.
Inserting Batteries into the IR Remote Control, Changing Batteries
The manufacturer might have inserted the battery already; pull out the fabric protective strip
emerging from the battery compartment.
A battery of type "CR2032" is required for the IR remote control. Open the battery compartment at the bottom
of the IR remote control and insert the battery into the battery holder observing the correct polarity (a small
symbol "+" on the battery holder indicates the polarity).
Slide the battery holder back into the IR remote control observing the correct orientation.
A battery exchange is necessary if the convector heater no longer responds to IR remote control.
Wall Mounting
Important!
When mounting the convector heater to a wall, keep suffi cient space around it (at least 450 mm
at the top, at least 250 mm at bottom/left/right).
• First, remove the wall bracket situated
at the back of the convector heater,
loosen both screws at the top (1).
• Press the top of the bracket together
(2) so that it can be removed. Then,
the bracket can be unhinged (3).
Memorise the correct orientation (4).
• The wall bracket can be attached to
the wall using 4 suitable screws and
wall plugs.
• To mount the convector heater, pro-
ceed in reverse order - position it at
the bottom at fi rst and then place it
in the bracket at the top until it catches. Secure the convector heater, with the screws removed in step 1.
Assistance from a second person is helpful, who can hold the convector heater until you have mounted it
safely to the wall.
Mounting of castors
• First, remove the wall bracket from the convector heater as described
in the chapter „Wall mounting" above.
• Attach both castors at the bottom of the convector heater using one
screw each. Observe the correct position; they only fi t in one position
due to the form of the castors and of the bottom of the convector
heater.

Operation

The buttons „ON/OFF", „MODE", „TEMP" and „TIMER" on the convector and on the IR remote
control have the same function.
After switching on the convector heater using the rocker switch (at the right side of the convec-
tor heater), operation is possible alternatively using the buttons on the convector or on the IR
remote control.
Connection & Switching the Main Switch On/Off (Standby Mode)
• Switch off the convector heater (move rocker switch on the right side into the position „OFF") and plug the
mains plug into a mains socket.
• Switch the convector on by moving the rocker switch into the position „ON". The convector heater emits
a signal and is now in standby mode. The display at the top right of the front of the convector heater is
activated; it displays the current room temperature.
• „If you are not using the convector heater, move the rocker switch into the position „OFF" (display goes out)
and remove the mains plug from the mains socket."
"ON/OFF" Button (activating/deactivating the heating function)
• Briefl y press the „ON/OFF" button in order to activate the heating function. „LO" is shown on top of the
7-segment display. The heating power is 750 W at this level.
• Pressing the „ON/OFF" button again deactivates the heating function; the convector is in standby mode
again.
"MODE" Button (toggling the heating level and selecting automatic function)
• If not done so yet, activate the heating function using the „ON/OFF" button; „LO" is shown on top of the
7-segment display.
• Briefl y press the "MODE" button to switch between the following operating modes:
Display "LO": Heating level 1, heating power 750 W
Display "HI": Heating level 2, heating power 1500 W
Display „AUTO", the convector heater functions independently of the temperature setting, which can be
made with the „TEMP" button (see below).
"TEMP" Button (temperature settings for operating mode "AUTO"), Thermostat Function
• If not done so yet, activate the heating function using the „ON/OFF" button; „LO" is shown on top of the
7-segment display.
Press the "MODE" button to switch to the operating mode "AUTO".
• Now, press the „TEMP" button (temperature display fl ashes) until the desired temperature is shown in the
display (adjustable temperature ranges from +5.0 °C to +35.0 °C). If you do not press a button for several
seconds, the settings are applied and the display stops fl ashing.
The temperature setting is only possible when the operating mode „AUTO" is selected!
• The convector heater now checks the room temperature with the internal temperature sensor and switches
to standby mode automatically if the preset temperature was exceeded.
If the temperature drops below the set value, the convector is switched on again.
The heating power in the „AUTO" mode is adapted automatically by the convector heater (750 or
1500 W, depending on the preset temperature and the difference between the currently meas-
ured and preset temperature, respectively).
"TIMER" Button (timer function)
• If not done so yet, activate the heating function using the „ON/OFF" button; „LO" is shown on top of the
7-segment display.
Select the operating mode "LO", "HI" or "AUTO" using the "MODE" button.
• Press the „TIMER" button several times until the desired switch-on duration is shown in the display (adjust-
able duration 0.5 to 8.0 hours, in 0.5-hour steps). A small clock symbol appears on the right of the display.
If no button is pressed for approx. 5 seconds, the convector heater exits the setting mode auto-
matically; the time set last is applied.
The convector heater operates for the time set by you and switches off automatically after that (standby
mode). The clock symbol disappears.
If the convector is to be switched off earlier, simply press the "ON/OFF" button.
Maintenance and Cleaning
• Only a professional repair shop should attempt to maintain or repair the device. The product contains no
parts that require servicing. Therefore, do not open/dismantle it.
• Before cleaning the convector heater, switch it off and disconnect the mains plug from the mains socket!
Then allow the convector heater to cool down completely.
• To clean the outside of the product, a dry, soft and clean cloth is suffi cient. To clean the glass front of the
convector heater, you can use a common glass cleaner.
• Dust can easily be removed using a clean, soft and long-bristled brush and a vacuum cleaner.
Do not use abrasive cleaning agents, cleaning alcohol or other chemical solutions, since these
could damage the housing or even impair operation.
Disposal
Dispose of an unserviceable product in accordance with the relevant statutory regulations.
