• Before connecting to the mains, make sure that your local AC mains voltage matches the
specifications on the nameplate.
• Only a proper mains socket (230 V/AC, 50 Hz) of the public supply net must be used as voltage
source.
• Do not touch the mains cable if it is damaged. First, power down the respective mains socket
(e.g. via the respective circuit breaker) and then carefully pull the mains plug from the mains
socket. Never use the product if the mains cable is damaged.
• A damaged mains cable may only be replaced by the manufacturer, a workshop commissioned
by the manufacturer or a similarly qualified person, so as to prevent any danger.
• Never plug in or unplug the mains plug when your hands are wet.
• Do not tread on the mains cable or place any objects on it.
• Lay the mains cable such that it does not present a trip hazard and ensure that the mains plug
is easily accessible. Do not run the mains cable under carpet or cover it with rugs, runners,
or similar objects.
• Completely unwind the mains cable during operation. A mains cable that is not completely
unwound can lead to overheating. This creates a fire hazard!
• Do not use any extension cables, electrical ballasts or other similar devices. Insert the mains
plug directly into a wall outlet.
• Never operate the appliance without the protective grille! Do not insert any objects into the
grille.
• Place the product at a sufficient distance from other objects to ensure proper air circulation.
• Exercise particular caution in the presence of children. Children may not recognise the hazards
that are associated with the incorrect handling of electrical devices. Children may attempt to
insert objects into the device. This may result in a fatal electrical shock! It also presents a fire
hazard and may cause injury due to the hot surfaces.
• Never use the product in vehicles of any kind or similar moving objects or spaces. The product
is only suitable for use in buildings.
• Only use the product in temperate climates, not in tropical climates.
• Always unplug the mains plug from the mains socket before cleaning the device.
• You may notice an unpleasant odour for some time during initial use due to housing parts
heating up. If so, ventilate the room in which the product is located.
• Only move, transport or store the product when it has completely cooled down. Disconnect the
product from the mains by unplugging the mains plug from the mains socket.
• The product is not designed for commercial use.
b) Miscellaneous
• Consult an expert when in doubt about operation, safety or connection of the device.
• Maintenance, modifications and repairs are to be performed exclusively by an expert or at a
qualified shop.
• If you have questions which remain unanswered by these operating instructions, contact our
technical support service or other technical personnel.

Operating Elements

Operation

a) Preparation
1. Place the heater on a suitable surface. It should be a large surface which is fixed, level and stable. It
should be 0.5 m away from any wall or object. It should be at least 1.5 m away from any flammable items
(eg. curtains). It is intended to be placed on the floor and not wall-mounted. Ensure that the heater is
placed flat and solidly on its base.
2. With the thermostat control (1), turn to < — >. With the mode selector (2), turn to < OFF >.
3. Insert the power socket into the mains outlet.
b) Selecting the Mode
To select the mode, use the mode selector (2).
OFF
To turn the heater off
FAN
To turn on the fan for cooling or ventilation
I
To turn the heater to the lower heat output (750 W)
II
To turn the heater to the full heat output (1500 W)
1. Thermostat control
2. Mode selector
3. Control light
4. Anti-tilt protection switch
5. Oscilliation button
c) Adjustment of the Temperature
The thermostat control (1) allows for gradual adjustment of temperature. Choose the desired strength from
the minimum < — > to the maximum < + >. Once the set temperature is reached the integrated thermostat
automatically switches off the fan.
d) Control light
The control light (3) is lit up when the fan heater's fan has been activated.
e) Oscillation
This function allows for stable and even heating or ventilation.
To activate or deactivate the oscillation function, press the Oscillation button (5).
f) Anti-Tilt protection
The anti-tilt protection switch (4) at the bottom of the heater disconnects the power from the heater when it is
lifted off the floor. This ensures protection if the heater is tipped over or when it is being moved.
If the heater is heating / cooling when it is tipped over, the control light (3) will switch off.
If the heater tips over, switch it off and replace it correctly before switching it back on.
g) Overheat protection
This heater features an overheat protection that switches off the appliance automatically in the case of
overheating (for example, due to total or partial obstruction of the its air outlet openings). In this case,
following the procedures below:
1. Unplug the heater.
2. Wait about 30 minutes for it to cool down.
3. Remove the obstructing objects.
4. Switch on the heater as described above.
If the problem persists, please contact our Technical Advisory Service or other experts.
Cleaning and Care
1. Before cleaning the heater, ensure that it is disconnected from the power supply and has cooled down
completely.
2. To avoid the risk of electric shock, do not clean the heater with water. Do not immerse it in the water.
3. The housing may be wiped with a slightly damp, lint-free cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
4. If necessary, dust particles accumulated in the air outlet openings may be removed with a vacuum
cleaner.
