BEFORE YOU START

The ELB 1200 and the ELB 1200 heads are portable units, which will be frequently used "on
location" . Please be aware of the danger, or inconvenience, which it may represent to others
for example children.
• Ensure that the power pack is switched OFF.
• Connect the flash cable with the security locking ring to the power pack.
• Adapt the reflectors or accessories, which are required for the shooting.
• Only correctly fitted flash cable connections are secured against moister and dust.
• Power pack outlets not in use must be protected with the security covers.
• Check all connections again; the cable must be locked with the security ring and then
switch on the unit.
Please read the ELB 1200 power pack manual.
• Always switch off the unit before connecting or disconnecting heads.
• Always switch off the unit before connecting accessories and reflectors.
• Ambient temperature when the unit is in use: -20° C (-4° F) up to 40° C (104° F).

USER SAFETY INFORMATION

• Because a portable flashhead is frequently used "on location" please be aware of the
danger, or inconvenience, which it may represent to others for example children.
• Keep flash units out of reach of unauthorised persons whenever possible.
• Do not use in restricted areas (like hospitals, always ask permission before).
• Do not use near flammable / explosive material.
• Always switch off the unit before connecting or disconnecting heads.
• Flashtubes and the LED-reflector dishes may become very hot during and after use!
• Do not touch the LED; this might cause damages.
• Never touch a flashtube or exchange it before the unit has cooled down and is
disconnected from the battery.
• Do not fire flashes from short distances when directed towards a person.
• Minimum distance for persons: 30 cm, for animals 1 – 2 m.
