DRY IRONING

• Set the steam control knob (4) to

SPRAY FUNCTION

• This function dampens the linen and can be used both with steam ironing and with
dry ironing. There must be water in the tank (11) to use it.
• Press the spray button (6) intermittently and direct the jet of water onto the more
obstinate creases.
SUPER STEAM FUNCTION
• Press the super steam button (5) intermittently: the iron will deliver a more power-
ful instantaneous jet of steam.
NOTE:
• Do not press button repeatedly too often as drops of non-vaporized water may start
dripping out.
• Use this function with the temperature control knob (10) set in the "max" INSERI-
RE SIMBOLO steam area only.
• Some particles of limescale could come out every time super steam is used for the
first time, we therefore advise you not to aim the first jets of steam directly onto the
linen.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

• Unplug the iron from the power supply and wait until it has completely cooled
down before starting on any cleaning job.
• Clean the iron with a soft dry cloth only.
• Clean the soleplate regularly using a normal non-abrasive sponge so as not to ruin
the surface.
• Do not use chemical or abrasive substances.
• Never submerge the appliance in water or other liquid substances.
• Never put perfumed substances into the tank.
SELF - CLEANING FUNCTION
Your iron has a self-cleaning function to reduce formation of limescale. This job should
be done regularly, at least once a month, to get the greatest benefit. Proceed as fol-
lows:
• Set to dry ironing .
• Fill up the tank to the MAX level.
• Work the iron normally taking the soleplate to the highest temperature.
• Unplug from the outlet when the iron is ready.
• Set the steam control knob (4) to "self-cleaning" (Fig. B).
• Completely extract the steam control knob (4) (Fig. C).
