1. Completely empty the cooking chamber.
Also remove the baking tray guides (9)
as described in the section "Cleaning the
baking tray guides" (see following chap-
ter).
2. Remove large bits of food or other con-
taminants from the cooking compartment.

3. Use the rotary switch (22) to select the
function "Pyrolysis"

4. Push the button (16) to start the clean-
ing process.

The timer will display 2: 0 0 and begin counting
down the minutes. The bars on the display
will also change.
If the oven door is still open when it is
switched on, the display will read DOOR .
5. If necessary, use the rotary switch (22) to
switch between a cleaning duration of 2
hours and a cleaning duration of one hour
and 30 minutes. If you have changed the
cleaning duration, press the button
(16) again to confirm the change and start
the pyrolytic process.
6. If you want to cancel the pyrolytic pro-
cess, press the button
After the pyrolytic process has finished,
the fan will continue to run for another
hour. This is necessary in order for the fan to
sufficiently cool the interior of the appliance.

You must remove the baking tray guides (9)
before beginning the pyrolytic self-cleaning
process. This is also recommended for ordi-
nary, thorough cleaning of the cooking com-
partment.
Removing and cleaning baking tray
guides
1. Remove the baking tray (3), the oven
rack (4) and the dripping pan (5) from the
cooking compartment.
2. Turn the screw (23) underneath the bak-
ing tray guides (9).

3. Fold up the baking tray guides (9) from
below, and carefully pull the curved brack-
ets (24) upwards from the wall.
4. In this way, you can also remove the sec-
ond baking tray guide (9).
5. Clean the baking tray guides and cooking
compartment using warm water and mild
dish soap or all-purpose cleaner. Then
dry everything off.
