defect to the instrument.
- Turn the functional rotary switch to "V~".
- Connect the black measuring line to the COM jack and the red
measuring line to the + jack.

How to insert batteries / change batteries
To be operational, the Multi Tester requires two micro-batteries of
the AAA type
Atention:
Do not operate the Multi Tester in an open condition to
avoid electric shocks.
For a change of batteries, proceed as follows:
- Disconnect the instrument from the measuring lines and turn it off.
- Untighten the two casing screws at the back of the tester, using
an appropriate screw-driver. Remove the rear wall of the casing.
- Remove the exhausted batteries and replace them with two new
ones of the same type. Always take care of the polarities of the
batteries which are imprinted in the battery compartment.
- Replace the rear wall of the casing and close the casing by retigh-
tening the screws you removed before.
Do not let batteries lie around openly. There is a risk of
such batteries being swallowed by children. Leaking or
damaged batteries might cause acid burns when get-
ting into contact with skin. Never try to recharge batte-
ries. Do not throw batteries into fire.
Environmental protection note:
The law (exhausted-batteries regulation) obliges the final user to
return all of the exhausted batteries and accumulators (from button
cells to lead accumulators); it is prohibited to dispose of them via
the domestic waste.
You may return your exhausted batteries and accumulators free of
charge to both our branch workshops and the central workshop
