AND DISCONNECTED FROM THE MAIN POWER SUPPLY.
ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS MUST BE CARRIED OUT ONLY AND
EXCLUSIVELY BY EXPERT OR SKILLED TECHNICIANS.
PREPARATION
Unpack the power source, assemble the separate parts supplied with the
package.
WARNING! Prevent the power source from tipping up or
shifting dangerously, by positioning it on a level surface that is able
to support its weight.
CONNECTION TO THE MAIN POWER SUPPLY
- Before making any electrical connection whatsoever, check the power
source rating plate to make sure that the mains voltage and frequency
correspond with those at the place where the power source is to be
installed.
- The power source should be connected only and exclusively to a power
supply network with the neutral lead connected to earth;
WARNING!
Failure to comply with the above rules will render the manufacturer's
(class I) safety system ineffective, with consequent serious risks to
people (e.g. electric shock) and to property (e.g. fire).
CUTTING CIRCUIT CONNECTIONS
WARNING!
BEFORE
CONNECTIONS MAKE SURE THAT THE POWER SOURCE HAS BEEN
SWITCHED OFF AND DISCONNECTED FROM THE MAIN POWER
SUPPLY.
Connecting the cleaning tool to the power source.
Connecting the cleaning current return cable.
This should be connected to the piece to be cleaned or to the metal
bench on which it is sitting, as close as possible to the area that is to be
cleaned.
6. CLEANING: PREPARING THE CLEANING TOOL AND DESCRIPTION
OF THE PROCEDURE
To switch on the power source turn on the main switch (Fig. B-1). The
cleaning current intensity can be adjusted by a manually operated switch
(Fig. B-3).
THERMOSTAT SAFEGUARD.
The power source is automatically protected against overheating
(automatic reset thermostat). If the windings reach the preset
temperature, the thermal cutout switches off the power supply circuit
and the yellow light on the front panel comes on (Fig. B-2).After a few
minutes' cooling the safeguard will reset the system, the power source
will resume operation and the yellow light will go off.
PREPARING THE CLEANING TOOL AND DESCRIPTION OF THE
PROCEDURE.
The cleaning tool should be prepared with the power source switched off.
Prepare the cleaning tool, using special bands to position a strip of
glass sleeve at the tip as in Fig. E. Pour enough solution to complete the
cleaning into the canister supplied with the cleaning kit. Connect the
cleaning tool to the supplied power source, (Fig. D). Connect the earth of
the power source to the piece to be cleaned. Switch on the power source
and use the switch (Fig. B-3) to select the desired current. Dip the cleaning
tool into the canister containing the solution and then brush it in both
directions along the weld seam that is to be cleaned (Fig. F). When you
have finished cleaning, rinse the treated piece with water.
The cleaning current intensity should be adjusted according to the size of
the part being treated.
Warning: to prevent damage to the cleaning tool, do not allow its metal
parts form an electrical contact with the piece being cleaned; this could
happen if the strip becomes very worn, in which case it should be
changed.
At the end of the procedure, before returning the cleaning tool to its case,
remove the strip and use plenty of water to rinse the metal part that has

7. MAINTENANCE

WARNING!
BEFORE
OPERATIONS, MAKE SURE THAT THE POWER SOURCE IS SWITCHED
OFF AND DISCONNECTED FROM THE MAIN POWER SUPPLY.
The cleaning tool does not require any particular maintenance, apart
from rinsing it as described in section 6.
EXTRAORDINARY MAINTENANCE:
EXTRAORDINARY MAINTENANCE MUST BE CARRIED OUT ONLY AND
EXCLUSIVELY BY AUTHORISED EXPERT OR SKILLED ELECTRICAL-
MECHANICAL TECHNICIANS.
WARNING! BEFORE REMOVING THE POWER SOURCE
PANELS AND WORKING INSIDE IT MAKE SURE THAT IT HAS BEEN
SWITCHED OFF AND DISCONNECTED FROM THE MAIN POWER
SUPPLY.
If checks are carried out inside the power source while it is live, this
may cause serious electric shock due to direct contact with live parts
and/or injury due to direct contact with moving parts.
- Inspect the inside of the power source regularly, and in any case
with a frequency depending on the amount of use and dust in
the environment, and remove any dust that has deposited on the
transformer, using a jet of dry compressed air (max 10 bar).
- Take the opportunity to make sure the electrical connections are tight
and there is no damage to the wiring insulation;
- When these operations have been completed, re-assemble the panels
on the power source and tighten the fastening screws right down.
- Never ever do any cleaning operations with the power source open or
with no safeguards;
- Changing the power supply cable: before changing the power supply
cable, find the screw connection terminals L1 and L2 (N) on the switch
(Fig. G).
MANUALE ISTRUZIONE
ATTENZIONE! PRIMA DI UTILIZZARE L'ATTREZZATURA DI PULIZIA
LEGGERE ATTENTAMENTE IL MANUALE D'ISTRUZIONE.
1. SICUREZZA GENERALE
fornita dal generatore può essere pericolosa in talune circostanze;
scollegato dalla rete di alimentazione;
prima di eseguire qualsiasi operazione di manutenzione;
- eseguire l'installazione elettrica secondo le previste norme e leggi
antinfortunistiche;
di alimentazione con conduttore di neutro collegato a terra;
collegata alla terra di protezione;
pioggia;
