Additional special safety directions for the abrasive cutting process:
Avoid the locking of the cutting disk or a level of grinding pressure that is too
a)
high. Do not perform any excessively deep cuts.
The overloading of the cutting disk increases the strain upon it and its susceptibility
to jamming or locking and thus the possibility of a recoil or a breakage of an
abrasive agent.
Avoid the area prior to and behind the rotating cutting disk.
b)
If you move the cutting disk in the workpiece away from you the power tool with
the rotating disk can be catapulted directly towards you in the event of a recoil.
If the cutting disk gets jammed or you interrupt the work switch the tool off
c)
and hold it steadily until the disk comes to a standstill. Never try to pull the
cutting disk that is still running out of the cut as this could result in a recoil.
Determine and rectify the cause of the jamming.
Do not switch the power tool on again whilst it is still in the workpiece.
d)
First allow the cutting disk to reach its full rotational speed before carefully
continuing with the cut.
Large workpieces can bend under their own weight. The workpiece must be
supported on both sides of the disk and indeed both close to the centre cut and
also at the edge.
Prop up panels or large workpieces to reduce the risk of a recoil when a cutting
e)
disk jams.
Large workpieces can bend under their own weight. The workpiece must be
supported on both sides of the disk and indeed both close to the centre cut and
also at the edge.
Be especially careful when carrying out "pocket cuts" in existing wall or other
f)
areas that you cannot look into.
The cutting disk that enters the wall can cause a recoil when cutting into gas or
water pipelines, electric lines or other objects.
Special safety directions for the sanding process:
Do not use any oversized abrasive disks, but instead follow the manufacturer's
a)
instructions concerning the abrasive disk.
Abrasive disks which have a circumference in excess of the grinding pad can
cause injuries or lead to the locking or tearing of the abrasive disks or to a recoil.
Special safety directions for the burnishing process:
Stow away or shorten the fastening cords.
a)
Loose fastening cords or cords which rotate with the tool can catch your fingers
or get caught in the workpiece.
